Charu,
I actually liked your review today. Yes, the thought behind the action should be valued today.
Judgement about the action can be given weightage any other day.
Sona(Gurtiluv), the other day was reminding people if anyone recalls the American Transcendalists and ofcourse I added the English pantheists. Then there were all those Romantic poets... Its altogether a break from conventional religious thought...but nevertheless a way of life experimented.
Agree, nowadays, who does it. But I guess, there must be yearning in these creatives, which make them write these beautiful scenes...projecting their thoughts behind a character they created...Superstar RK.

And a ramble...
One of my husband's friends was telling him...that he booked another vacation this time to make a trip to Andes mountains. He is going all alone for the trek. He is a Gujrati and working in Financial world on Application Development side. But look at his vacations...He has his house on woodside where deers walk into his lawns. Its far away from city and he loves it. He previously went to Kilimanjaro mountain trekking in Africa. He is a family man too with two young daughters...
I just feel like a mouse before him...always trying to be close to my burrows or to be correct ratholes. Jigar chaahiye hota hai kahin jaane ke liye. I just don't have it in me... I think I can only admire...jab karne ki baari aayegi, I don't know ...but I will never mind it if someone thinks for me. That's quite easy!
Going away alone or living life aloof with a partner with no responsibility on your head...different concepts.
Have you read Somerset Maugham's novels...most of them are somehow about going away in one or the other sense. Last year, my sister made me see The Painted Veil movie...based on SM's novel...as a punishment, the guy takes his wife to midland China (pre-WW II) and there the wife has spiritual enlightenment...in her own way...the way it makes sense to her. Sometimes Love is that path to spirituality.
My Hindi teacher used to ask us in school...that when we grow up, we better read Rahul Sanskrityayan essays or any material we get. It might open our mind. I still have not done that... :))
All this needs Guts. Don't you agree.
