hey guys plz help me. well i belong to upper middle class family, my parents wants to be become an engineer, but it is not what i want. I kept quite for months, but today i finally opened myself. I told them i want to go in media related line, but my parents think there is no scope in it. But i told them i can't be happy as an engineer. I want to work in the industry, behind the camera. There are so many courses in mass communication specially in noida and pune. But they think there is no scope. plz tell is there any scope in it. i will never be happy doing btech. i want to do somethng different. i don't want to join the ranks of iit engineer, bcoz that's not what i want. plz help. well i think it is my tym to take stand

well bro i can understand what u are going thro well 2 years back i had faced it too
n took the decision of following my heart n happiness n told my mom n family that i don't wana do engineering n that was the first step towards my dream
so i'll say u did it right that u told them now all u have to do is to convince them n make them realise that u won't be happy with it though they may not agree now but if u try they surely will because no matter how strict our parents may be at the end of the day they love us n will not force us for smth which we don't want

my moms point of u
do the things which make u happy because it's u who has to study not ur parent's cause if u force a person into smth than out of 100% 90% is sure that u'll never get the results which u want

well i simply asked her cause she herself is a professor in a college n always come across to the student's who are not interested in the subject but still doing it for the sake of there parents
so i just thought to share it with u

all in all i'l say just do what u want from urself cause different people have different views on the same topic

so make a cup of tea for urself took it with u n go the silent space in ur house n think what u actually want from urself than go to ur parent n ask them to have faith in u n promise to them that u'll not let them down cause it's a decision which will deside ur career

Hai Deepu, Why don't u consider Engineering? Every parent would say the same thing,their priority is you being financially comfortable.

I wish u Good luck Deepak, If u are confident try and convince your parents if they don't listen, think that it is for your own good and go for engineering😊

media is a very gd career option now,with so many channels.u can achieve what u want if u truly want it.and as parents they r concern that u might change ur decision later and regret.so be steady on ur decision and make them understand that u will be successful in media career as u want it 4m ur heart.they r our parent,they always want our happiness and our bright future.all d bst
