Good scenes today but the undercurrents made me feel a little uneasy. RK's desire to leave the film industry is still a driving force in his push to resolve all his situations- and that is a problem. Why did he want to do it in the first place? Because Dips challenged him- but Madhu overcame the challenge. So why the need to leave the industry still? Because Madhu matters more to him than anything else at this point. He even admits that even before he had feelings for her, even before feelings had time to form- he was almost...addicted to her presence- her eyes had reeled him in.

This junoon of RK's is less about leaving the industry and more about leaving everyone behind- he wants Madhu for himself, always. And I wonder if Madhu realizes it-the obsession RK has with her, the extent of his feelings of possesion. I think she thinks that RK is leaving the industry, and when it dawns on her that leaving means leaving- all family, its going to be an interesting time. We know that in a pinch she will always choose RK- but when the situation is enginnered by RK himself? What then?
And this will get worse when she enters the film industry- because the RK who is having trouble sharing his wife with his and her family will have to share her with the world. The only way to reconcile that with his passion? Make her his extension-Madhubala will not be herself, but will be RK's wife. A subtle difference, but a powerful one I feel.
Second part- I don't know how sincere his interactions with the others are- how much of it is genuine feeling vs "i have to do this for Madhu." The way he so easily closed the deal that would have given Trishna her break makes me think its more the latter than the former. And again, that has negative long term reprecussions.
It's all well and good and I do hope he has sincere relations with Padmini and Malik. I think to an extent he does. But I also think in the end RK is RK. And for RK, it has been and always will be Madhu.
Wonder what he'll do to her to make her think the same way.

I do not think that she has any inkling of the extent of his junoon and his feelings of possession for her. And I do not blame her on this. She is a 22 year old girl, pampered by her mother and her foster father. And one fine day, her destiny is inter-wined with this eccentric superstar, who becomes her husband and she eventually ends up falling crazily in love with him. She is lost in her thoughts of having a blissful married life after running away with her husband, without once giving a thought as to what might have driven him to take such an extreme step. She is too much in love to give all these things a thought from a logical perspective. I wonder, not even once the thought crossed her mind as to how will her superstar, super demanding and domineering husband be able to live without his stardom?

And yes, we all know the driving force behind all this RK leaving industry madness is Deepali's challenge. As Shri mentioned, he has to get over Deepali if he really wants to leave everything behind and run away with madhu. He will never be completely happy, even though with Madhu until he throws this Deepali baggage off.

So what is the rush? My guess is him wanting to leave the film industry is got to do with his dad's death.. Again, that would be an interesting track to know under what circumstances MK was forced to take his own life leaving RK, his apple of his eye behind. What was Radha's so called majboori which made her to take a plunge in her marriage to Kukku?

My other thought was that he quits the show biz in a rush only to find out that he cannot live without his comforts and luxuries and tries to go back only to be shown the doors. I am thinking that he breaks all contracts with the producers and they decide to take legal action on him and he pays them all out and goes bankrupt only to be saved by Madhu who against his wish enters the film industry. You see my imagination is running wild and I better stop now 😆

@kt25: tht would be worst. I don't think I will ever be able to see a weak and dejected RK. 😭 😭 I would much rather prefer him going back to his old antiques.

about him leaving the industry, you made an interesting point that it might be connected to his dad's death. But, does that mean he always had it in his mind to quit the industry at certain point of time?? If that is so, how much impact did Deepali's challenge actually have on him??

@RKLover - Uh-Oh!! Sorry my post made you feel sad. You see, I rarely conjure up stories like this since I am a sucker for happy endings but once in a while I tend to surprise myself with my overactive imagination 😆

@RKLover - We saw him standing outside an old unused studio in pouring down rain and was reminiscing about his time and conversations he had with his dad right after he had hurt Madhu in front of Malik by revealing their sham marriage to him. That was what made me think that him wanting to leave the industry might have something to do with his dad's death but I am not going to bank on that alone because Dipali's challenge has taken a priority in his mind and all he could think of every moment is to prove her wrong. But if you ask me it is just plain stupidity, to leave all his hard earned name, fame, stardom, status and money simply to prove her wrong when he knows Madhu inside out and that she would never betray him. Why does it matter what Dips thinks about him or Madhu? If he cannot stand to see her then he has an option to ask her and Sikky to leave to a different house as I am pretty sure he has several mansions/farm houses and they could stay in one of those. Sikky would be glad to be all alone with Dips and would jump right on the first opportunity he gets to be alone with his wife 😆

I remember. It is the sitara studio. I must say, the CVs have played their cards really well from the beginning. They mystery surrounding MKs death, the studio everything would be revealed some day(though I think this track would come much later).

@bold: I agree. I have lost count of how many times I have said this, but I still find it hard to digest that Deepali's words still have so much effect on him. Get over her boy. Please. It is very very unpleasant for us viewers to see a shrewd, intelligent man like you tongue tied in front of her challenge.

Time to let go !
Seems that's the theme of the episode today. Seems that's the theme of the 5th Anniversary Party being hosted by RK at Nataraj Studios Venue. All have assembled there except, the Kuku/Sikky duo and Trishna/Roma.

Personally I felt RK less affected by his mother's presence on the set than him seeing Dipali at the set. So yes, there is still this demon that needs to squashed by him. Will RK be successful in doing that tomorrow ? He needs to if he really wants to close, mend, and fix things before leaving everything and going away with Madhu.

Strangely the "Let's fix our families/hurts before we fix ourselves" though continuing, seems will hit a roadblock by forces that RK might not have reckoned.

Loved reading your post as usual SD, I decided to quote the above mainly because I was thinking along those same lines when I watched the episode while hiding out in my room this morning before all the work began (I am hoping to get through the thread right now as it is in one sitting before being yelled at for neglecting my duties in the kitchen for dinner lol), Time to let go... When watching I actually groaned when they showed Despo, here I was thinking we were having such a nice long streak without her nonsense, but then the theme of letting go occured to me. They're trying to fix everything in their lives and here is one loose end still out there, I think the purpose of her showing up now (or at least I'm hoping) is to start closing that door. Despo and RK have not come face to face since the beginning of that contrived plot point I have decided to pretend didn't happen. We need to see the aftermath of that.

I am actually so happy with Madhu today. Way to go girl.
1) She was with Rads in the kitchen making sarso ka saag but thinking about RK.
2)She was quite happily talking about their future together(sabse door) with RK.
3)She asked Rads has she ever tried patching up with RK very subtly, yet effectively.
4)She gave a befitting reply to Dipz...

RK told Madhu how he was lost in her eyes the first time he saw her but this girl never took it for real.

Zoya, you highlighted all the main points I too loved about this episode.
@bold - that part really irked me today... here's the man you love telling you that he was affected by you in that first meeting and you just brush it off???? I loved their little scene but that one part really just bugged me and still kind of does.

@Hima - I love your prediction about the letter being from his mom.. that would be very telling. I was wondering what the letter was myself. Hopefully they'll let us know tomorrow.

@Priya - I'm not going to quote your post simply for the fact that then I would be quoting the whole thing lol... but I loved that first paragraph - I too was wondering the same thing about her outfit and RK's cars. I mean I drive a better car than Superstar RK... that doesn't seem right lol I had completely forgotten about the rumors that Despo and Balraj might join forces, it seems likely now that they'll both be in the same space.

@all - RE: RK wanting to leave the industry.. You guys made some good points about this (possesive about Madhu, something to do with his father - excellent theory Priya - etc.) I don't know, I just see this as RK wanting Madhu's love above all else. In that scene where he says that they'll be together for ever and ever and ever - he's afraid of losing this, regardless of his faith in her love for him there are always outside forces trying to intrude and he doesn't want that, Despo said people can't have it all and I honestly think that perhaps RK believes that if he can't have it all he'd rather have love than have money and fame.

I do honestly think that as far as Madhu's family is concerned, and especially Padmani and Malik RK is sincere. He respects both of them for reasons that Shri has talked about in depth in previous discussion threads, simply they represent everything he's always been missing in his own parents.
@bold - I think this was more of, I don't need to get into bed with a crazy loon in order to help Trishna, there are much better ways to go about helping her out. So I don't think that it was that he did it so easily but rather he'd had reservations about dealing with this man from the beginning - this was just one option and he decided not to go this route because it wouldn't do any of them any good. So while I do think that some of this definitely is for Madhu and is driven by his love for her, he does have sincere intentions.

@Studio RK was at in the rain - I think FQ made a remark about that studio and how the ruin of that studio (possibly RK's father's) was what RK thought he was responsible and thus lead to his father's suicide.. She said it in jest during one of her FQnama's I think - Shri will know the exact context I think. But then in a discussion thread someone had been talking about (and this could be Shri herself I think) how it would be a good idea to launch Madhu as a film star through that studio. RK decides to open it up again and Madhu helps him with that and thus ends up starring in the film.. I'm sure it was put much more eloquently than that. I always thought that would be an amazing story.. entry into film industry, questions and demons relating to his father dealt with (although he's kind of been shown to have made peace with his father's death at this point), Madhu and RK still standing together, strengthening their relationship.

Okay.. there was more I wanted to respond to and say I think but I'm being summoned back to the kitchen. Side dishes must be prepared.

@Priya,
Nice take...it indeed was a good episode... I enjoyed it...especially their smiles while having dinner...the glitter in their eyes, when madhu thanks RK for the compliment (when he says to put kala thika) and RK's seeing his wife happy was just blissful...On my first watch I missed RK's 'I was lost in your eyes' (when he saw her the first time) dialogue...it was always her eyes na...the different colors/ emotions in them that attracted him like he said during their confession...but,Madhu in her eagerness to serve the food failed to realize that he was not playing around but,really meant it...

Even I wonder why he is so eager to leave everything...as you guys were discussing the letter could be holding a clue...it could be linked to his father...

@Preet,
I like what you said...like its him choosing Love over everything else...If fate doesn't give everything to anyone then,let me denounce everything else so,that I can forever cherish my Love... ...so, could be thinking of eliminating anything or anyone that has a potential to come between them...sounds real junooni Ishq...lets see what the cv'shave in store for us

Does any one think that mysterious letter could be Dipali's Dear John letter to RK...even though the paper it is written on looks newly minted?!

I dread to see what will become of Madhu once she and RK retire from all this aaish aur araam ki jindagi...already she's a cook and serve wife with no time for romance. I could have slapped her left and right for totally dismissing RK's words about how he felt when he first met her...that was a Dhak Dhak moment that she totally destroyed.

Imagine her in a small house/hut/tent whatever..cooking and cleaning the whole day...poor RK, he doesn't know what he's getting into...no time for romance...guaranteed.

Loved Ballu's dialogues but couldn't digest his capitulation when both RK and Bittuji ordered him about and practically threw him out.

Someone, please assure me that it's all an act on Ballu's part and that he's actually seething with uncontrollable anger inside.

As for the precap...I hope he hasn't seen Padmini...only Shamsher...then the track will be over even before it began.

Btw, how on earth can Padmini be legitimately be married to Shamsher if she isn't divorced?

@everyone

Wherever I have been mentioned, remembered, I have to say that I was my nodding my head too. Today is not going to be the day when I am going to spend lot of time answering...coz, when I agree, I am just assenting and it just means that I loving to be silent and reading everyone's posts.

However, I wanna talk about one thing...that Madhu did not pay attention to RK telling her she bowled him in pehli nazar. I actually liked it very much. Infact it just goes to show how innocent she is and how much she does not understand romantic kind of love. Isn't it then for the same reason that she was okay to get married to Mukund. She wouldn't so suddenly and miraculously understand amour...it will all come to her in time. She is just beginning to understand her husband. She is known to the fact of her hubby all teasing and ridiculing her...most of the time and inspite of that loves her. He had told her that his heart never existed. So all of a sudden, how is she gonna take his flirt.

And anyways, come to think of, romance will never be spicy, if man and woman keep on understanding and nodding to each other. It is good that Madhu did not listen to him. May be she listened and may be she did not give him the pleasure of hearing him...but then there's always another day...where RK is again to tell her. Such things can he heard so many times and still the pleasure of telling and listening will always be there and enjoyed every time.

So in summary, I liked that flirting between hubby and wifey where not everything said is going to be digested. Come on girls! have fun. Don't expect them to be serious all the time...Let them fight and let them kiss and make up ! 😉
