4 Months back spamdomain came out with an article titled "Rishabh Kundra aka RK's mantra "Bas Haq Hai Ek Mera"" highlighting the essence of those lines when it came to the show. Well here is more to it now that RK and Madhu have confessed their feelings, admitted that they are in love with each other.
First a small precap…..
With time Madhu realized that RK was not what he projects himself to be. He was no animal, no monster…He was just a victim of some bad things, some huge losses which made him highly insensitive, rude and arrogant. It was an act to thwart any harm/heart break coming his way but there still was a Rishabh somewhere beneath that tough exterior who wanted care, love and a sense of belonging to another. The day Madhu realized who RK really was her outlook and approach toward him changed and that marked the dawn of a new beginning.
Same goes for RK, he had never come across somebody like Madhubala. Yes she was as stubborn as he was, there was arrogance in her too, but she was righteous, bold and spoke her mind out and above all had a heart of gold. RK noticed that unlike the others Madhu never used him or his superstardom for her advantage but was in fact unaffected by it and before RK realized, his views about her were changing, he was forced to mellow down, he could never be the rude and insensitive RK anymore, she had changed that about him. She, his Madhu was unique.
Everything went smooth until Deepali Bhatia aka Dips poisoned RK and instigated him against Madhu. It wasn't easy but she managed to do it anyway. All she had to do was to tempt RK to switch into Flashback mode and relive his worst memories again. Everybody he ever loved had left him, he was always alone and Dips accusation that Madhu too would do the brought about a crack in the faith he had in her. Yet somehow from where RK was looking, thinking and acting Deepali's words seemed to come true. Madhu was failing in RK's test of loyalty big time and it hurt him and her equally. Madhu was ready to go with RK to any part of the world and nothing mattered as long as he was with her, but now was not the time she requested RK to hear her out her reasons for the same but RK chose to think otherwise and tagged her along with the others who has betrayed him.
He saw the love glisten in her eyes many a times, he was certain that she loved him but the phrase "Once bitten twice shy" comes into play and RK decides that he wasn't going to suffer, not this time. What RK needed was an Eye-Opener and who better than Trishna (Angel in disguise), whose words reversed RK's "Deepali's Poisoned Opinion" about Madhu. Trishna's words gave RK an insight of what was actually happening. Madhu was not staying back because she couldn't depart with the luxurious life she was living as Mrs. RK but because of her duties as a Daughter, as a Sister, as a Bahu that was binding her down.
RK knew that what he felt every time he was with Madhu wasn't farce, but somehow he allowed his fears to get the better of him. But the moment he realized that Madhu's love, her feelings etc were genuine just like her, that her intentions behind her staying back was not selfish but selfless he asks her the same question again "Tumhare Ghar Mein Sab Kuch Teek Hone Ke Baad mere saath chalogi?" Once just once he wanted to know that all he felt when with her was true, that he wasn't unlucky in love, that there is somebody in this world who could love him with equal fervor and wouldn't just abandon him."Tum jahan kahoge waha chaloongi RK…Jis jungle mein, jis pahad par, jis ghar mein mujhe sirf aur tumhara aur tumhara pyaar chahiye RK." was what Madhu said, and it was all that RK wanted to hear.
"Koi alag nahi karega hum sath rahenge, hamesha hamesha ke liye…" These lines show how alone RK was, how much Madhu and her love mattered to him, and how devastated he would be if she too abandoned him.
Before "Hum Hai Deewane" and "Darmiyaan" there was a phase when one of the most passionate, romantic song of the year, crooned by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from the movie "Blood Money" was used on the star couple. Yes we are talking about "Bas Haq Ek Mera" which was used approx 4 Months back to highlight RK's emotions and feelings when it came to his"Biwi" Madhubala.
Tere Ishq Pe, Tere Waqt Pe
Bas Haq Hai ek Mera
Teri Rooh Pe, Teri Jism Pe
Bas Haq Hai Ek Mera
Bas Haq Hai Ek Mera
Bas Haq Hai Ek Mera….
The lines were all about exerting one's right over the other which was in complete sync with RK-Madhu track back then. It was all about Haq, RK's Haq over Madhu…..Because RK and Madhu's had a contract marriage, because 40 Lakhs were paid in return for Madhu's Consent to a "Adha-Adhoora" marriage, there was a sense of "Owning" that was highlighted through this song especially those 5 lines. Madhubala Shamsher Mallik was Superstar RK's property; it was a relationship he brought, in order to strip Madhu of her "Self-Respect".
Today the tables have turned RK wants to rectify that mistake, the mockery he made of her, he wanted to restore the dignity and respect he owes Madhu as his wife, as Mrs. Madhubala Rishabh Kundra……"Biwi" a word that was used to insult her…. had found a true meaning over the days, now it was time to give it, its true identity in every sense.
Back then we all wondered when will the rest of the song ever feature on Rishabala? Will it be used at some point of time ever? Though a melody the feeling of "Love" strikes majorly in the latter soft, subtle portion of the song which was never used until this week……but now it has finally made its entry.
Main toh bas teri chahat mein,
Chahoon rehna sada…
Main toh bas teri kurbat mein
Chahoon Rehna sada….
Saaya bhi tera main, hone na doon juda
Maine tay kar liya hai…
RK has finally embraced his new found true love and what better than these lines to describe this new found feeling? These lines talk about the unconditional love the guy feels for his lady love, it says how he wants nothing but revel in her love and never to be parted from her ever. And that's what RK and Madhu's relationship is all about now. There was no way the makers could have done justice to this confession sans this song and this certain portion of the song. It was long due and it was just breathtakingly beautiful.
Earlier there was only Junoon everything revolved around Madhu's obsession to get RK punished and RK's obsession to destroy her Madhu even if that meant marrying her for the same, but now things have changed there is Junoon and Ishq….. The Plots just getting thicker and better, plus there is the added bonus of Balraj Choudhary which makes Madhubala:EIEJ a roller-coaster ride ahead.
Stay tuned as it just gets bigger and better.
