Thought a good night's sleep would help me to review last night's episode with a fresh perspective. Don't know...so am thinking aloud.
I agree with all that has been said about RK's past, his deep insecurities etc etc. But I still maintain it is totally out of character for him to take on Dipali. I am trying very hard to understand why he does this.
His character has been built up so carefully over the past few months...so we get an arrogant, intelligent, creative, superstar, and we also get an emotionally vulnerable, emotionally needy, loving, funny, lovable, intuitive man. He is shown to be so intelligent that he understands the unsaid nuances of every situation (something that his wife never does).
He has a past, an ugly past, tragic past, but he has emerged a survivor, and commands the love, adulation and respect of the masses. His minions tremble before him, his step family hates him and he hates them, he loves his mother, but is indifferent to her. Now it gets murkier, he hates Dipali, but is not indifferent to her!!
Yes, Dipali worked on his insecurities, but he has his intelligence right? His keen insight helped him forgive a person who had tried to kill him thrice!!! That night, the pooja night, he goaded Madhu to talk about her past, because he wanted to gauge the person Malik was, and Madhu's relationship with him. His mind was working constantly, trying to assimilate his discovery, and to formulate a response. He let go of Malik because he did'nt want to see Madhu hurt. But he also grudgingly accepted Malik for the man he was, and understood his motivations.
Cut to Dipali...he knows she works on his insecurities, because they were once a couple. She knows his weaknesses, but RK knows her character just as well. Last week, she tried to poison his wife, and this week she questions the integrity of his wife. Logically, he should be able to see through her challenge for what it is.
Personally, I cannot reconcile the character he was in the past few months to the person he turned out to be yesterday. Unless he loved Dipali, really loved her at one point. đ
AS I'm writing, i 'm thinking he needs to reach a level where he admits to himself that what he had with Dipali was not love at all. That is when she will not have the power to hurt him.
If he continues to get this affected by her, CVs, please return his first and only love back to himđĄ. And let Madhu off the hook. Anyway, he is her jhoot moot ka pati, so cut the losses and move on. đĄ
This track has to be a short one...or else I will switch off for a while, not that my viewing or not viewing will shake up TRPs or anythingđ, but I'm just saying.
