MADHUBALA EK ISHQ EK JUNOON
12/3/12

Someone had rightly said that a true friend "---- is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you today just the way you are. A friend is someone who can see the truth and pain in you even when you are fooling everyone else."
Being the closest person alive to RK, Bittuji is very aware of RK's inherent nature and has glimpsed his moments of weakness and struggle------he has been witness to RK's indirect show of affection and concern for Madhu , as well as Madhu's love and care for RK, therefore it was only natural that he would be puzzled over RK's stubborn reluctance and denial to complete Madhu's KC vrath.
To me, the hero of yesterday's episode was Bittuji who surely proved that he'd become a permanent fan of "Bhabiji" by his emotional outburst in front of RK. Bituji's sincere lament in Madhu's defense apparently didn't seem to render a dent in RK's armor , but I think it had the desired effect of jolting the stubborn RK into giving a thought to Madhu's predicament. I loved the way Bittuji stressed upon the fact that it was Madhu's "FIRST" Karva Chauth , which would never return again, and that if RK didn't realize the worth of Madhu's vrath -----he himself wasn't worth it ! When I heard Bittuji infer that RK wasn't worthy of Mahu's love and devotion, and stomp off in a huff----I was thinking WTH , is this the same Bittuji who couldn't see beyond his chief and aided RK in tormenting Madhu to the point of despair ? It just goes to show the power that honesty and sincerity sometimes wields over even the cruelest and meanest of egotistic humans -----and also proves that nobody is ever beyond redemption ! Bittuji's interlude with Sikky over the KC puja thaali was guffawworthy and methinks it must be the most expensive puja thaali in tellywood !( if that wad of notes that Bittuji was wagging in front of Sikky's nose was anything to go by---hehe). Another ROFL moment was hearing Sikky's "original" resolution that he was going to call Dips "WIFE" from now onwards , in contrast to RK's hindi version "BIWI"-----I couldn't stop laughing----this Sikky-Kuku duo are really hilarious !
Seema's rendering of Dips the vamp trying to tantalize and torment Madhu into breaking her Vrath was spot on-----not to mention Drashti's portrayal of an unwell wife giving a test of faith--------holding onto a strong belief that her husband was bound to come if her love for RK was to prevail. A filler episode of sorts, but which didn't become boring thanks to the antics of Bittuji, Dips, Sikky and Kuku . One thing that I object to strongly is the use of inappropriate body doubles -----yesterday DD's BD had celluloid arms ! Ekkks ! Looking forward to RK's better judgment prevailing and his coming to his Biwi's rescue to make her first KC a memorable one !
