Bittuji was indeed the star of the day...

But today RK was a tormented soul for me... He was in a complete state of turmoil... He wanted to completely shut his mind from being concerned about his Biwi... Bittuji was only voicing out what RK himself knows and was feeling... It was not like Bittuji was providing a reality check...He says "Aap chup rehne ke liye kya lenge"... He did not want to hear any of it coz he knew Bittuji was just voicing out his very own thoughts which he was vehemently trying to prevent from occurring ... The fact that by going home and breaking her fast means acknowledging and giving a name to their rishta was what preventing him from going... He sure claims that she is his Biwi but still he is scared(due to his past experience) to give her complete rights over him... For him, khud ko kisi aur ke haath mein saunpna is only a complete relationship which he is not willing to do at the moment... His heart was bleeding and he so badly wanted to go home coz he knew his ziddi Biwi will be waiting for him and she will not even take a sip of water before he comes but his mind was holding him back... VD portrayed the torment, turmoil, pain very well...

What if the husband is away from home during KC? can't the girl just look at his photograph through the sieve and break her fast?

Radha was sure looking at her in sympathy...But couldn't she open her mouth once and say vrat kholdo beta... Couldn't all these ladies make out that she was weak and not feeling well? They were more interested in her lehenga...

I watched the episode again, I know not everyone is happy with it but I liked it. It was heart wrenching to watch Madhu today but I guess it was needed. This episode was about Madhu's faith and trust in RK being tested. I found myself pleading to RK please get up and go, but more over, it would be a slap in the face the Bhatia's who think they know RK so well. Let me tell you, they obviously don't know the bond Madhu and RK have. Madhu's faith is going to bring RK to her, for the first time, someone has so much faith in him. It is bound to shake his very being. The three times, RK got hurt was when he had faith in the wrong people. Lets ask, is he going to do the same to Madhu? No, he won't. Bittuji's words and RK's restlessnes, his anger, is proof of his inner turmoil. He can't believe that Madhu would have so much trust and faith in him. Coz he thinks he is a Jaanwar and according to him he is not trustworthy...but that's where he contradicts himself. He is the most trustworthy person on this show.

I have to admit, I was in awe of Madhu's faith that he would come. Der se hi sahi but he will come. I feel that this episode re-iterated what RK has been scared of. His wife considers him her full husband and its scary for him but at the same time, this was needed to knock some sense into him. I would like to see the look on everyone's face when he comes and breaks her fast. To see that tomorrow, would be worth watching Madhu's agni pariksha for her genuine faith.

Namzz,

Loved your review. The way you say it...in awe of Madhu for her unshaken faith..
But did you see, at each taunt/word from Dips and women gathered over there, how Madhu looked like wish God had mercy on her and send RK somehow.

Its really scary, not just for her weakening health...whole day of vomitting will definitely need a IV Saline drip into her body (though Madhu's make up looks bloated instead of parched skin with those Red Full Lips ), but watching today's episode, I was more pained that she is becoming a butt of ridicule...like most people who dare to dream are ridiculed.

And I was like, why none of the other ladies, if not the Bhatias, were showing concern seeing Madhu's face ? Does shedding a human concern, is it that insignificant and Madhu's keeping Vrat is that important ? Atleast the Bhatias did not ask Madhu to keep the Vrat. However, the ladies from the neighbourhood were ready to crucify Madhu with Taane about not keeping the Vrat ...at each step they were asking Madhu. My parents would have seen that girl and would have made her drink water. No...won't we have done that ? What if the husband does not turn up at all ? Would the ladies just leave her alone? I am so intrigued to know this...I don't want to imagine the already known drama of her husband coming for her rescue...

That reminds me of all customary rituals that I went through in my first marriage and all those dialogues from various aunties/chachis/mausis/coercive words/mom's confusion between trying to follow people's verdict or trying to listen to her daughter's heart...
Its just a game. Game of showmanship, who wears what, who gets what kind of gift, whose husband gave the most loveliest of the gift etc etc. I bid a namaskar to all rituals and pooja and will respectfully withdraw following those customs under societal pressure as I am quite incapable of taking people's running and advising commentary which almost makes them seem as bigots. And I hate it when intelligent parents too bow down to that kind of pressure. I think I was speaking about the same in META thread earlier in Sep. Ritual and Customary practice becomes higher than human feelings and there starts the materialism and commercialization of the festival.
Following a ritual when it gives one a meaning is like cementing what you believe. It helps building a connection with God through the belief and wishes of the person who is participating in it, because he/she is seeking God's blessing. And never I like people to be around me when I am doing my pooja...but rarely there is a societal custom without people involved in it.

Today's episode...

Like allot of you said it was a bit of a drag episode still many scene's stood out..

bhabi&devar scene was so cute and lovely to see truthfull and honest...

ahhahahahahaha bittuji and sikky wah wah... he took MONEY FROM HIM...šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜† IDIOOT

Serieusly i pitty RK for the '' AMAZING FAMILY HE HAS'' wooow its freaky too see how well he know's all of them soo well and reads them in and out... but none of them know him they only know RK even his mother who claims to be his mother isnt i think i agree with rk here she just gave birth to him..

I mean when the world sees your child wrong as a mother you should know your child his hart his soul... but today she showed she doesnt.. With that pitty look in her eyes.. she too believes her son wont come..
So the only persoon who believes him is the one girl he torurted the most intersting..

bittuji and Rk woow what a scene loved it too the core and loveee bittuji more what a nice persoon.. he knocked some sense in rishabs head yess today i saw rishabh coming out.. RK was trying hard but rishabh is winning the battle this time..good acting by VD loving him more by day...

Madhu and dips... she called her deepali..yeeey she doesnt deserve respect...

well before i stop my nonsense..

today i found a knew meaning in the line bittuij used.. madhu is the female version of rk...
So rk's inside is like madhu's... just a sweet inniciont child who had lived a big trauma turing in too be in a beest because he didnt get any love or trust.. she is bringing rishabh back...

Zoya,

@bold
I just voiced the same thoughts. Was not clear as you are in so few a words. beautifully expressed. There was Total lack of Compassion towards a fellow human being when religion by Hindu standards is to become a compassionate person through practicing of 7 virtues...three of them being charity, Justice and Temperence. No one present in the episode had any charity for Madhu's health. Quality of Justice and Temperence was convoluted and husband became more important than fasting wife.

Thanks Shri for the compliment. I agree, those ladies are like vultures, ready to attack. What is wrong with the Bhatia's? They definitely lack compassion, no let me rephrase it, they dont have any value for human emotions, only the ones that would benefit them. Radha, clearly doesn't know her own son. Agreed, one of my friends kept the KC Vrat but her hubby was in London, she broke it with his picture. I have always wanted to give Radha the doubt of the benefit but today she made it pretty clear, the once Mrs. Mohan Kundra is long dead. No wonder RK talks of her like a fond memory. That woman is all and all out Bhatia. Disgusting.

So today I decided to post in the discussion thread! I've been a fan of it for quite some time as I love reading everyone's take on the episode! Always give me a different way of looking at the episode and many times I'll have to rewatch it for things I may have missed.

I know many of you thought the epi was a drag, which it was to a certain extent, but I didn't mind it too much. They're really building up to when RK comes and breaks Madhu's vrat. Which I can't wait for! I hope it's worth all this wait! (It better be tomorrow lol) Both VD and DD did an awesome job emoting what they were feeling. I could really see the internal battle RK was fighting. It actually looked like he was tearing up. To me it seemed like he was confused and flabbergasted as to how Madhu was praying for his long life? After all he had done to her, the way he had treated her, I think this all caught him off guard. He may feel like he's not deserving of love. But I'm hoping tomorrow he'll have figured out what needs to be done, I don't think many of us can take another episode rishabala less. 😊

Hope today's episode makes up for it.

"7 phere" saat phere, i hear this term so many times šŸ˜† in many communities in India (Arya samaj i think , they include punjabi's too), they take only 4 phere ..i've seen this happening in many weddings here...it makes me think putting sindoor and mangalsutra doesn't matter? in so many movies n tv shows the guy just puts sindoor n lo, marriage ho gayi

Nids,

I share the same feelings. I felt all that...

And Bittuji said this..
"7 pheron waale beewiyon bhi Bhabhiji ki Mohabbat, Shiddat aur Guroor ke aage, kuch nahin..."

Bittuji and RK scene, with that intensity matched that of Asrani and Amitabh scene in movie Abhimaan. It was almost the same, with different context and different dialogues.

@ SD
Ufff ...and that soulful song on the two Sati Savitaris added more disgust to KC ...🤢...they could have saved the song for RK and MB instead ...Sigh ...

@ Priya ...u never fail to amaze me ..šŸ˜†...Detailed analysis for this episode too 😲.šŸ˜†
