You are finally back ! How are you now ? Feeling better ? Peach said you were loaded with work.

And thanks my dear, for that write up on Mukku-Madhu. So the girl was not attracted. If she could commit herself so much for Mukku without that attraction and passion, then Madhu is sure going to sacrifice herself for RK when she feels so much passion for him, Whatever Madhu feels for RK, it is always overflowing, anger, care, concern, softness, attraction...

SD!
I don't know how I've been so busy, if I look at everything I accomplish in a day it doesn't seem like much but alas I do not know where the time flies. Add to that I've been getting migraines because of the ever changing weather and I'm exhausted all the time for some odd reason and I just couldn't make it out to the forums for any meaningful amount of time to actually get through this thread. My how the thread has grown though, pages and pages within hours of the show airing. It's hard to keep up somedays! I still have to go back and read the threads I missed.

And Madhu was most definitely not attracted to Mukkund. She thought he was a nice guy that she could spend the rest of her life with in peace. She never even imagined the type of marriage she has with RK, full of fire, passion, and soon love. That committment is what I think initially attracted RK to Madhu in my opinion although I might be wrong - it's that begrudging respect I've referred to when talking about their past and initial interactions. She was a worth adversary.

@bold - couldn't agree more!

WAIT!! What?!
I didn't get that detailed of a summary of the movie. I'm out if that's what they're planning. That is not okay!

Don't worry...it is a lovely, sensitively made film. And Amitabh never strays even while they have troubles in their marriage. Their reunion at the climax is even more beautiful because they get back with greater understanding of each other.

I am not writing the summary on purpose because it will cause panic 😆, am going to enjoy the current track, I too get panic stricken when I think of the above track! Though I prefer this to any third party interference in Rishbala's life. The way their relationship is moving, they are so fiercely protective of each other, I don't think any extraneous factor can cause a rift.

Zoya and Soundarya, I'm seeing two conflicting things here, Zoya is saying that he does have an affair with another woman and then Soundarya is saying he never strays... I don't like any of this. Just thinking about RK as a character though, would he stray? I mean I know the man has a lot of pride and ego but would he actually stray?

I think I might have brought up this scenario with Zoe (or perhaps it in a different discussion thread), and please excuse my reference of a show I have referenced in other instances as well, but the above scenario (wife getting more fame than the husband, husband getting jealous) could work without either party straying - does this cause conflict? Yes.. but as mature adults there are different way to deal with this. One Tree Hill had two instances where Nathan and Haley were put into a similar situation twice. First time was when Haley left Nathan to pursue her dream of becoming a singer and then even when she came back, realizing she shouldn't have left as she did, there was this whole bit with Nathan not completely forgiving her right away but also trying to help her behind the scenes so she could still achieve her dreams. Another time, this is years afterwards (in OTH world), Nathan has finally realized his dream of being in the NBA but suddenly a bar fight ends with him being wheelchair bound. He's sullen, angry, depressed, removed from his family, and Haley is trying to keep everything together but still they stick together and find a way out of it. I know these are juvenille examples, and I'm trying to think of more mature ones but at this time of the night that's not possible. My point is, conflict between a couple can still be created, you need not bring in third parties or break the couple up every chance you get to create the necessary drama. Rishbala for me are a couple that (although not a 100% there yet) stay together and have each other's backs when push comes to shove. They trust each other above all others and would never betray the other or break the other's trust. If you start messing with the basic foundations on which this relationship is built then it loses its magic. Having an affair would do that.

I checked with a few friends...he does'nt have an affair. He does spend more time with Bindu, more as a tactic to make his wife jealous. In fact, as far as I can remember, she even keeps telling him to go back. I will try and watch those scenes.

Ok, why are we doing this? 😆, RK will not have an affair, am quite sure.

Re Abhimaan.

Clarification ...Its a beautiful movie and there ARE NO AFFAIRS at all.

Bindu is the girl with whom AB is quite close to as a friend before he gets married to Jaya. Marriage with Jaya is on the spur of moment. Bindu when she hears about it is pained as she loves AB, but extremely surprised how did that sudden decision happened..
Come Mumbai, reception, Bindu sees the couple in passionate love which is mutual on both sides, which she missed in her relationship with AB. She therefore lets it go... as an understanding friend,

When AB's ego gets hurt because of jealous feelings with Jaya's professional success, he goes to Bindu's place, as he feels that is the only place where Jaya will not come to and not be there in every sense...pychological...he wants to spend moments away from Jaya ...home, studios everywhere everyone will talk about jaya...at Bindu's place, he knows no such thing will happen...plus he forbids her to talk when in the beginning she starts talking about her like everyone else.

So ...there is no affair. Period.
