Fierce is the word indeed...it was always fierce...fierce in his anger, fierce in his hatred and currently very fierce in his protectiveness...protecting her not only from the world from but shielding her from her own pain.

For all his obsession with her, RK showed a lot of perceptiveness today once again...in the first scene trying to distract her with the chemical wife joke and trying to make her laugh...DELIBERATELY being nonchalant when she asked the Maalik question and distracting her by asking her to make food for them...On the surface he shows this all to be him ordering her around and commanding her as usual but he actually did it for HER...to distract her, give her something to do.

And on the dining table, it was all about telling her indirectly that he doesn't give a damn about the opinions of the leachads pulling her down and his trust, his faith in her is unshakeable...to the point that he made the contact b/w them as DIRECT as possible...don't just feed me with the spoon, feed me with your own HANDS...that is the amount of faith I have in you...and that was the fierceness today that you very well described as well.

What's disarming though is that sometimes he can be so tender with her...treating her almost as if she's a fragile piece of porcelain...like in the scene yesterday when he wiped her tears...

Hmm, agreed.

RK has always been fierce about Madhu . When he hated her , his hatred was obsessive , when he became attached to her , that attachment is possessive and today , when he cares about her , defends her , his protective and ownership feelings are also fiercely obsessive. Madhu , on the other hand is tender , soft , caring but emotionally intense about him.

@AreYaar. I agree with you that RK handles her like a delicate porcelain doll at times. I hope she never loses him and he never lets her go. I don't care if its a half marriage . There is complete respect in this marriage and a promise of tender commitment. That is enough.

Absolutely!
Possessive he always is, but it's getting to that junoon border already! That threat to Bittuji today - uff.

Ibtida-e-ishq hai and this haalat. What's this love story going to be like as it flowers?!! Aagaaz aisa hai toh anjaam kaisa hoga?

i dont' think so that their is any makkhi machar in future the track is going very good and i sure cvs don't add house bees in future. second i think rk and madhu both have ego but both have power to admit their feeling they don't hide their feeling so i think they both confess their love in near future.

It's very ironic indeed that in a marriage that isn't even fully valid in ritualistic terms, there is more faith and commitment than a fully valid marriage per se...What started out as a farce and an insult to marriage is now being nibhaaoed with full respect and commitment by both of them...they both themselves don't realize when they became that ESSENTIAL to each other's beings.

The respect as you very well pointed out is the most surprising part...what started out as the ultimate insult and disrespect is now filled with so much respect, tenderness and understanding...that is the amazing part.
