It started out nice. RK catches Madhubala. And right from the start, by telling her to go to their room, RK makes it clear that Madhu is not leaving the house. He is protective of her and wants to keep her away from any more ugly verbal assaults. His first thought is to protect his biwi and then to tell everyone off.
As expected RK did not throw anyone out. He told them off. I did like that he ordered She-devil to take Madhu's bags upstairs.
RK & Madhu's scene. I liked it but it was missing SO MUCH!!! Seriously their conversation deserved an entire episode alone.
What did I like? I liked that RK said he trusted Madhubala. Three cheers for that. First, it's a HUGE thing for RK to say that he trusts period. Second, Madhu really needed to hear that. I of course liked the hug. I am unsure why it took RK so long to hug her back. Reminded me of the scene after the storm where RK hesitates to tie her sari blouse. Here, I guess maybe it was some awkwardness and maybe another emotional hurdle for RK to get past.
What did I not like about the scene? I did not like everything that this scene was missing. RK and Madhu needed a conversation badly. So many things were missing. I understand that RK did not need to hear why Madhu went to the chawl, what she was thinking etc. But the following should have been shared:
- The BIG secret that RK knew the whole time it was Malik. That he and Malik had a confrontation and worked it out. (leave the rest alone for Madhu to figure it out)
- Or at least Madhu should have asked RK why he told the police to let Malik go
- RK never asked Madhu about her confrontation with Malik and how she was feeling about this. Just because RK said no one discusses the matter does not mean that Madhu is not shattered by what Malik did and that their father/daughter relationship has not been damaged. RK was very concerned about this so now, with the truth revealed, why is RK not asking or setting Madhu straight about this?
RK and Madhu needed to clear up a lot of things here and none of it was touched on.
She-Devil. Every time she opens her mouth I feel like gagging. The she-devil is talking about Pavitra Rishta after lusting after her brother-in-law??? She is talking about morals and facing the devil for your husband when she herself has no respect for her husband and oh yes – is lusting after her brother-in-law. DISGUSTING!!!!!
Radha (minus the 'ji' cause I have no respect for her). RK told her off the worst actually. I should feel bad for her but I really really really don't. Not even one tiny bit. This scene did show me how deep RK's hate and disappointment for his mother is.
I am disappointed that RK did not put the entire Bhatia family in their place more aptly. Cause at this rate they will still accuse Madhu and make her feel like crap. RK cannot be there to save her all the time and Madhu is carrying so much guilt that I do not expect her to stand up for herself AT ALL (which I am really going to hate). If RK had only been more harder or threatening to these loafers, as they so deserved it. I say the Bhatia's and esp the Shedevil got off easy!!!
Loved the preview: Madhu feeds RK minus the spoon. But of course she looked sad that MIL has no trust in her. Crap.
