That is a good point. I too wonder about that. He raises his voice and he shouts at her but not as bad as he did with MB or his mother. In fact he gets coy with her (of course that is to reveal her true color but still touching her and speaking so softly and all are not alignable to the feeling of detest he displays). I always thought that he really loved her too much at one point in time and confided in her completely. Probably he was feeling lowly on the personal and professional front at that time and needed someone to be comforted with, but then she royally ditched him. Although he despises her now he is not able to totally negate her as he still feels the pangs. May be not the pangs of love but he probably detests himself for having thought he loved her once and does not want to muddle with her in anyways, leave alone in the form of revenging or hurting her. May be wants to be completely off her, not even wanting to have feeling of hatred for her? Thinks she isn't worth even that?
Dipzy story
I always brush off my view on Dipzy when anyone asks me to talk on her. Because I detest her so much. But then I don't fail to notice what she is upto.
As to why RK doesn't ignore Dips or punish Dips like he does with his mother or Madhu.
For simplicity take, let's just take Radhaji and Dips and compare.
Both are wedded to Bhatias who are that "gale me haddi" for him.
He is ditched by both the women. Difference is HE FEELS his mother has ditched whereas HE KNOWS that Dips ditched him.
Feels is speculative. Knows is Truth.
Which hurts more. And which stays. Truth will always stay. Feelings will go away.
He is not disgusted with his mother. He is just angry and feels betrayed, but rationally knows that his mother did not commit any wrong. Over the years his complaint with his Mom is ..."Doosron pe itna Vishawaas, Apne pe nahin ?" He ignores her wilfully so that she gets hurt each day. He still is being the child to her in his own manner.
The reason why he keeps saying she doesn't exist for him, is because she is associated with Bhatias and is not a Kundra anymore except for the fact that she gave birth to him when she was a Kundra.
He is disgusted by Dips. Because she is an opportunist. And if that was not enough, she is ready to be an adulteress as well. As she has no principles left.
To me, I always felt, RK just cannot hate Dips or ignore, but can only get disgusted. And most of the disgust is diverted on himself only. As in how could he trust himself with her ? How ? How?
When I am disgusted, I am highly affected. It's repelling feeling that you get all over.
As for hate ...hate is another side of feeling like love. Hate also means closeness. So RK cannot hate Dips as he will not want to assign any dignity of thinking about her. Hate leads to vengeful feelings and that means thinking about the subject. Now why would you want to hate someone whom you detest so much that it reminds of your achilles heel and instead would you just not think about them and avoid under all circumstances So that's another for saying she does not exist and yet tolerating her for the family's sake as she inhabits the same house married to the Bhatias.
The disgusting feeling around Dips will go away only once RK accepts that even he is allowed to make mistakes. Until then he is gonna keep her in his mind. That's my take on the situation.
If you ask me ..RK is an IDIOT who lives with that ZOO Family of his.
Now I don't understand, if that is plot clunkiness brought in for us to know RK through Madhu or there is more to it. We know they were all introduced after Madhu got married to him. So it is Plot Clunkiness for me.
