Some might feel I am joking when you read this. I am not. There are two reasons I made this post. One as a gesture of peace. The other reason is because I am really hurt by some of the terms used to describe me and my friends.
Those who might have read my posts know I post mostly nonsense (Why people think my posts intelligent is something beyond my comprehension!).. I personally believe that I have never hurt anyone with my jokes or my posts. But like you said- you dont understand my posts. Hence this post..
Like all my posts, this post also contains a few jokes and a serious issue.
So here is the joke part..
As you might have all guessed from the title of my post, a part of this post is about intelligence, or rather the public acknowledgement of my intelligence and of my friends in the posts of a few fellow forum members. I thank all of you who have called me and my friends intelligent from the bottom of my heart. Even though the compliment was bestowed unwillingly and meant as an insult, it does give me and my friends great pleasure and immense pride to know that people who haven't seen us think that we are intelligent. I don't mean to boast, but I am sure you all agree that not many can manage to impress people with their intelligence sight unseen. I do take this opportunity to publicly thank the parties concerned for this compliment. In addition, I also take this opportunity to thank my Professors who has taught me and with the help of whose teachings, I have managed to impress so many- once again, sight unseen. Those of you who have called me Professor's student might have meant it as an insult, (the rest of this paragraph is serious) but to me personally, you wouldnt have paid a higher compliment. I was, still am and will always be a Professor's student. Incidentally most of my family are Teachers or Professors. So I do, honestly, take great pride in being called a Professor's student and I am sure my parents will also be proud of me being called one. To be called as 'one of the teacherlog' is, to me, a great compliment. So rest assured, there is no bad feeling from my (our) side regarding the issue of my (our) intelligence (This is nowhere near a joke!).
The whole issue has made me and my friends rather famous in this forum. So here is what we all feel about it:
"To be famous was always our aim... The only sad thing is that no one knows us..."
Note. I apologise for any typographical or grammatical errors in my post. It would be a black mark on my intelligence if you pointed out any! It wouldnt do at all!
Now on to the serious part. And I am damn serious here. (Dont any of you read anything other than whats written here. If you do, I wont be making any apology for it)
I will move on to the second part of my post- Apology. This is my public apology to you, if ever, any of my posts have made you feel inferior or less intelligent than you are. It was never my intention to make any of you feel whatever it is that you felt when you read my post. I think I have more decency in me, than to humiliate, insult or make the readers feel whatever they did feel to make them question their own intelligence. I dont think myself to be big or superior or intelligent enough or, most importantly, above others not to offer an apology to those who might have felt insulted or offended by my posts- be it through my language or through its contents. I am very sorry for offending you and making yourself feel insulted. It was unintentional. If you feel a public apology is not sufficient, please do feel free to send me a pm. I would not hesitate in sending you a private apology pm too.
re English: English is not my mother tongue. Nor did I speak English from my childhood. It was learned painstakingly. I am much older than most of you in the forum. So I probably had more time to learn the language. Those of you who have read my posts, might have noticed my reference to me being a researcher. Its true.. I am. Thats how I learned to write in English- through making scientific reports. It makes me feel ashamed to think of the first scientific draft I submitted to my Professor. It was very bad. But with each draft I improved and with every progress I made, my Professor also felt proud of me and of the progress I made. It took many drafts and many reports to reach this stage where I have impressed you all with my English. So I am rather proud of the way I write and I do not, I repeat, I do not make any apology for the English in my posts. I would be insulting the many Teachers and Professors who taught me, if I do so. I also offer no apology for any intelligence I possess, it would be insulting to my parents. I have too much respect for them, to insult them to please people I havent seen or will ever see.
We are all here in this forum because we enjoy watching Madhubala. Lets not make a fight in real life over a reel show. Peace... Live and let live. People have diverse interests and tastes. Lets not fight with one another because of that.
If you feel I should no longer continue to post in this forum, feel free to report this to Dev team. I will continue writing independent posts of my own well within limits of IF rules. For the sake of peace in forum, you need not read my posts to feel the displeasure. I will also, continue to reply in my friends's posts (only in their's since apparently my posts are to most of you unpleasant) and actively participate in the discussions in their threads.
Finally, I take this opportunity to express my admiration for SD, who has shown herself to be an exemplary woman. SD, You are the rarest of the rare. I am proud to be your friend and of the fact that you think me your friend. I also thank my friends FQ and B for their support.
