On the other hand, I think RK has been slowly falling for Madhu ever since the beginning. It's obvious that he cares for her... we've seen that a few times already. But he also seems to be very possessive abt her. I don't know why I always get that feeling. Everytime he says "You're life is in my control, I have all rights over you, You're my property..." and blah blah, and that chahat song plays in bg... I feel that RK is falling for her with every passing day. Remember after the party, when he couldn't find her, he was actually really tensed and he called her MADHU. But he tries to behave cold when she's around, calling her BIWI and stuff.

It ain't love yet. Love requires a person to go beyond self, to think of things beyond one's own immediate needs and vendettas. RK is too broken as yet to feel anything akin to love. Obsession fuelled by revenge, pride, bloody-mindedness, yes, but not love. He will have to grow as a person before he can even begin to understand love.

At the moment he is nothing but a spoilt brat, although a brat with good instincts to recognise the innate goodness in madhubala, despite the fact that her forthrightness pushes all the wrong buttons in him.
