Coming back to the promo. I loved it! It was soo good! It showed everything!

Madhubala's vulnerability, the fact that she couldn't do anything because RK was the one who was helping Shamsher get better. Her father figure. And what have we learned about Madhubala so far? She can do anything for her family.

The one who does the opposite of whatever we think he'll do. We aren't supposed to love him. We are supposed to hate him, through tomato's at him...for hurting a young innocent girl and bruising her life. For making her look like...a toy...a dirty toy in front of the society. He wanted people to question Madhubala's character and he succeeded.

He wanted to own MB, and he succeeded. He wanted to make Madhubala a trophy of his victory --and he succeeded. He wanted to trash MB's reputation and then be the one to 'fix' it. Why? Because she dared to challenge him. Because she didn't get fooled by his amazing looks, his personna, his money, his power. Because she fought back.

And RK isn't the type of person to have people fight back to him. For him, girls are supposed to be eye candy, the ones whom he can flirt with and never see/remember them again. He remembered Madhubala because she refused to be his eye candy, refused to bargain with him. She trashed his image, his reputation.

And now she's going to pay for it. Pay for it, by being his trophy. A trophy of how he had won, and she had lost...even though she wasn't playing the game in the first place.

And the 4 phere. He has an ego, agreed. And as you know in a Hindu marriage all 7 vachan's mean something. Now I didn't go into full research to know what each vachan means, but like, you get the gist. Even though the makers aren't looking at the vachan part of the wedding itself, but still...

So that's it. RK's torture, humiliation has a long way to go for MB.

Examples:

1) RK refusing to take MB to his place and leaving her there with her family.

2) RK admitting to MB that this marriage was nothing to him.

3) RK introducing her to his lifestyle, and then in return making her look poor, bad in front of his rich friends at parties.

4) RK refusing to give MB the rights of his wife. [I know that RK wanted this marriage to happen so he can gain total control over MB, so she would never dare go against him ever again, but it can also happen that RK treats her worst after marriage, knowing that he has 'power' over her]

But then again, these may not happen, and I may be totally wrong.

This show is different. It's supposed to be about the changes that happen. Whereas Madhu is fire, RK's ice. Madhu's selfless, RK's selfish to the core. Whereas Madhu has a big heart, RK is a stone, hard, ruthless.

But we also need to understand, that with RK's extreme hatred, and trophy-ing of MB, will come his possessiveness, his undying love for Madhubala.

The more he'll be mean to MB, the harder he'll fall in love with her.

And we need to wait and watch for it. RK has a long way to go...for his redemption, for his 'apology'...for his love. And Madhu has to be there when he finally realizes how mean he was.

And this quote is from a historical romance I read by Lisa Kleypas.

The male protagonist apologizes to the female protagonist for coming in between this guy she liked and her. [This is at the point where both the protagonists love each other]

"I know I should apologize for coming in between you and ____"

"Yes, you should"

That's how I think MB and RK's relationship will shape up to be.

You are absolutely right Shifali. The more haterd of RK more he will fall for Madhu.But even after he falls for Madhu its not the end of story because he will have to pay for what he has done.He has tarnished her reputation, broke her engagement, tarnished her family's reputation.He almost got Shammo killed.He will have to improve himself he will have to prove to Madhubala that this time it is no game and he seriously has fallen in love with her.He will have to ensure her that whenever she falls he will be there to hold her.The day Mr Rishabh Kundra falls for her will be the beginning of the ishq . It is going to be tough for Madhu because how will she be able to love a guy because of whom she lost everything and she was pushed into the world where she didn't want to be . Even if she falls in love she will deny it.

i love lisas novels...they are amazing...i totally agree with u but i guess most people dont know that gujaratis have only 4 phere in their weddings...my friend is gujju so i know...
