Here's the TRP breakdown that everyone wanted:
16th July 2012 to 22nd July 2012

1.9 was Rishabh's nautanki at Maddy's house.
1.7 was Maddy's and Rishabh's meeting at the bridge. A big jump from Wednesday's 1.3. People came because of the precap.
The ME scored a 1.0 because nobody was interested in Madhu and Mukku's engagement. And the ME was promoted with the wrong clips and too late.
I am posting this breakdown to tell you that MB has a loyal audience who is sticking to the show only for DVD and what was promised to them. The jump from 1.3 to 1.7 solely due to a precap says a lot- people came back the next day as well, expecting Rishbala. The audience will stay with you and come back to you as soon as Rishbala track kicks off full swing. The audience is only tolerating Mukund and his entourage and am saying this with due respect for the actors playing the roles.
COLORS is right. They have an audience for MB and it is loyal to the show - but now, you sort of need to do show loyalty to what you promised to them. Move Mukund and his entourage into the background.
This week Monday was FANTASTIC , Tuesday was good and tonight was pathetic but needed. There have been no new promos and one can only rely on the quality of the episodes and the loyal viewership for ratings. Thursday will be energetic but Friday may be way too power packed.
I am telling you all this so that you know that the audience wants to stay and Rishbala have been heartily accepted - its the track that is putting them off. So, the sooner Maddy moves into Rishabh's den, the better it is for the show. The ratings will come running back.
MB had the least time spent in minutes by the audience - as in people only saw the show in bits and parts and they are Rishabh and Rishbala's parts. Only the Friday episode managed to keep the audience for about 11 minutes. That kind of explains why no promos. If the audience is watching a show for less than 10 minutes or less, airing promos makes no sense. Lets see what Prashant and Saurabh do about this. Prashant is a good crisis saver - am sure he will find a solution.
The creative teams from both the PH and the channel need an immediate brainstorming session. HARSH ONE. The ME was watched only for 13 minutes by the audience. Mukul Abhyankar and Anjum SHOULD worry.
