A Star is Born !

I thought that this quotation was befitting to celebrate the birth of the new star in the film universe---the special morning that brought a magical moment, which was no less than a miracle for Padmini---who had finally given birth to a healthy baby girl after all that she had been through to ensure the baby's safety ! Hangalji's apt naming of the beautiful baby girl after the iconic beauty of Bollywood Maddhubala was instantly accepted and appreciated by one and all present-----I think it was a brilliant idea to have a well loved and respected veteran of Indian cinema such as Hangalji to bless and name the new born Star . From the way that baby Madhu's feet moved, fists unfurled and eyes opened , sensing the warmth of the studio lights , cameras rolling and buzzing activity of the sets, was indication enough that this baby will take to the camera like a fish takes to water. The prelude to Madhu's birth was no less dramatic with her mother Padmini being offered a role in a Marhathi film portraying a woman celebrating her godh bharai rasam------something that Padmini couldn't ever imagine happening to her, that too on the first day of her new life ( thanks to Roma's help ). Madhu's father Balraj( the monster in disguise) also ironically was responsible for ending another life ( albeit indirectly) just as she was being born and starting her journey of life . So , under these filmy circumstances we would also expect Madhu to make her debut to mother Earth in a dramatic and dhamakedar fashion , and she did not disappoint us !

I was happy to see Shamsher's care and concern about Padmini and amused to see that the one thing he didn't know how to do was to revive a baby and make her cry! It seems as if the entire film fraternity present helped in delivering the baby and by God I've never seen such a public birthing ever in my life ! It was " Lights ! Camera! Action ! all the way ! I guess by dint of the very unusual circumstances of her birth , Madhubala is now the adopted daughter and apple of the entire Mohalla's eyes. The precap suggests that the deranged Balraj has finally found Padmini and her daughter----or is it Padmini's worst nightmare ? I guess we'll need to wait till Monday to know the answer to that one !
