What is it with people...all over the world...but more so in our Desi community...

but why are baby boys give such importance...ya ya...i know...w/out boys you cant carry on the family name...blah blah blah...but to torture and abuse a woman who has girls...these people need bio classes cuz gender is determined by father not mother...im just saying...any way...i get so mad when i see things like this...i want to smack those people upside the head and be like HELLO!!! if there were no women to deliver baby boys there would be no boys...all these macho men machismos come from women!!! what irks me more is when you see women torturing other women...im like HELLO!! you're a chick too!!!

sorry...just had to vent..just caught up with episode #1 (very well done as it was) ...it just makes me so mad!!! grr!!

It's disheartening to see females being treated as subhuman! It's very inhumane and unfair! People need to change their thinking to fit the 21st century! It sucks how these issues are still so prevalent in Indian society today. 😊

Yes agree wid u.atleast the injustice done to women issue is brought up in the first episode.thats y feel its a good start.

@ utopia: hi luv! long time!! how've you been...i agree...they are treaded as subhumans...like we're not good enough!! puh-lease!!! there is a reason they say that behind every successful man there is a woman...because had he been alone...no way he could do it all on his own...right!? 😉

@ Nandini: yes...im happy that they tackled it...and they actually got her to escape...i'd have been a times more furious had she just sucked it up and dealt with it...like so many women do in real life (sadly)...i liked what the Dai Maa said...that to save her child, even a cow will turn into a lion!! heck ya!!! 👏

This is our so called indian society ... not only indians but few other south asian countries too have the same backward thinking. Yes, there have been changes over a period of time ... But still this evil is still there.

And yes agreed with you. I feel the whole SMJ moment in front of me when i saw the epi... I hated the ammaji most. i mean she is also a damn woman and she does like this? shocking but yes after SMJ i get its true and sad how woman is woman's biggest enemy.. But a woman is also a woman biggest supporter as seen from the character of dai ma...

This tradition needs to stop..😡
