Getting a role in Madhubala was a boon, says Pallavi Purohit!

Colors' much awaited show Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is all set to mark high impression on audience from today onwards. Along with many popular faces Vivian Dsena and Drashti Dhami, Pallavi Purohit is also to be seen essaying a crucial role.

The beautiful actress Pallavi, who has been seen in serials like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasamh Se and Bairi Piya, will now play a mother in Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. As Padmini on the show, Pallavi's character is very positive and strong. She's a woman who escapes from the clutches of her husband (Raj Zutshi) who is hell bent on killing the female heir and comes to Mumbai to begin a new life. As a mother, she invests time in her children and teaches them the value of education.

When asked if she had any qualms playing a mother in spite of being so young, Pallavi says, "I'm an actor and I'm here to act. For me the role is important so I have no issues playing a mother's role."

Speaking of her character Pallavi, she further added, "The role offered to me was so beautiful that I could not say no. Getting to play Padmini is a boon for me".
