I completely understand Santu's frustration because Cheetah's actions recently can annoy anyone.

But yes, I felt bad for Cheetah. This guy needs to come out of his Santu land and accept the reality because he loses Santu even as a friend.

"Pushpaji duniya mein har koi aapko nahi ched tha" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Haseena broke Pushpa Ji's heart there 🤣

Today there was no thrill. Even case came to an end point of soon.

But I'll mentioned I liked Cheetah using his cop mind and figuring out things. After a long we had a good scene of Cheetah ❤️

Honestly what I don't get is how can someone fake being a poet for 30 years? That requires some dedication and hard work and In the process of learning to fake something , the person would actually end up learning it....

Also why is Santu's dad shoehorned into this plot? Anyone from the regular cast could've been make the die hard fan of Rashid Iqbal and could have done those scenes...would have brought 0 change to the plot itself...

Loved Karishma and Santu's auto scene today...

Last week I was seeing comments about cheetosh fake engagement for a case....was it just a rumour?

Seeing the importance Santu's dad is getting I think we might get some Cheetosh track ahead. Else why would he suddenly be brought up?

well, haseena may be unnecessarily glofied with her classic mary sue behaviour but I don't think anyone else is. if anything, they've all had to deal with the consequences of their actions. they mess up and learn from those mistakes to become better people. they aren't perfect and nor do they hate on men for no apparent reason. male characters such as cheetah, Iqbal, badnam and billu don't get as much character development/screen space because they aren't main characters and this is a woman-centric show. even then, they do get their fair share of bright moments. the driving force behind the story and narrative are these four main women characters.

Agreed! Even I wanted her memories to include entire MPT. She is Maddam Sir to all of them. Her identity Maddam Sir is because of MPT, including Iqbal or Badnaam because except them no one addresses her as same. She is Haseena Mallik, Haseena or Miss Mallik to the world. But then how would CVS put extra spotlight on Kareena friendship. Even if not so much, at least one scenes with everyone would have been enough.

yep. she is maddam sir because of them and they needed their memories included in her journey as she came to recall who she was. the extra spotlight was basically fanservice.

flashbacks are a literary device that either enhances our experience, tells a story or facilitates our understanding of the present situation/character (there are more but I am focusing on these three). the whole revelation scene was alleviated because we were given insight into the character's heads, to see what they were thinking. it told us the story of her identity and who are the people who contributed to that. all that allowed us to better understand why she was persistent to convince Karishma that she was the real haseena malik in the middle of a fight. which is why i say, on its own, it's a good scene.

now when I look at the bigger picture, I am thinking about where the rest of her family went as she remembered her life. where did some of the happiest (winning the best thana competition, countless salutes from people, her mother celebrating her birthday) or the saddest (thana being shutdown, santu's coma, Pushpa Ji being tied to the bomb, her own near-death experience) went? because at that time she wasn't specifically remembering who Karishma was/a part of her life, she was remembering her whole, complete, 31 years of her existence life- the life in which a lot of people came and went but there were 6/8 people who were her constant.

I remember when MPT was about to shutdown during JPT track, she remembered memories with everyone. Of course, more with Karishma but at least others were included.

i will admit that part was nicely done becuase there was some form of balance. there was a proper tribute to the station and what it stood for. not sure if I am recalling this correctly, but I always assumed the reason her flashbacks were mainly of Karishma is that she was the reason the station was being shut down. so haseena would have been feeling hurt and naturally remembered the times there they were on the same side.

These days I sometimes feel to highlight Kareena, other bonds are being ignored by makers. Not that I've problem with Kareena but I think balance is required because they promised us a story of four independent females.

agreed.

@Blue: Would it matter even if Mira fell of? She was a robot smiley37 but knowing Haseena she could have done that. She was way too attached with Mira. And not to forget. CVS did give her a dignified ending.

🤣of course, Mira would have walked away without a single bolt/wire lose but I was talking about it in terms of sentimental value. would a semi conscious, borderline delirious haseena stop to think about mira being a machine? nah, she would want to save whoever it was in that seat regardless of her own life.

That's right! Else visit any forum with multiple famdoms and you will see how healthy the discussions. Every other post will have a DT note in it. But sometimes it fun reading those smiley36 But coming to Santu, is there anyone who doesn't like her? You just cannot stop yourself from falling for her. And she is the character who has the most upward character development graph.

yes, some of those discussions are so nice and sweet that I get type 2 diabetes. i like reading those back and forth too! sometimes it's really hilarious to see them squabbling about two completely different points.

i like how i say 'my masumiyat' and everyone just knows that i am talking about santu 😛yes she and Karishma have had the most character growth and I am here for it. believe it or not, I have seen people disliking her character before especially during episode 301 (rejecting cheetah after telling her father that she was gonna mary him) but that's a whole other discussion.

Your points completely have my support. Their bond is beautiful but they are still not friends. They can be senior-junior or mentor-mentee. They are people who trust each other blindly but are not comfortable to confide in each other. I kinda found their relationship was good and was growing slowly initially. With every case, they were trying to know each other was were getting comfortable slowly. The growth was pretty natural. Nothing seemed forced. But after JPT track, they turned overly-sweet. Sometimes I think is it because of fans shipping them that writers started with their forced narrative.

agreed. the fans do have a large say in this, especially during this urmilla plotline.

That too sisters smiley37 Every show has same concept.

oh the cringefest those shows are

Oh Mahabharat has always been my favorite. It's so deep that even I read it multiple times, every time I find something new. All the characters there have so much to explore

you and anee have now inspired me to read the Mahabharat and mythology in general hehe.

They need to have a conversation with each other where they would be talking about themselves. Sharing their struggles, their feelings, their dreams with each other. And not include their duty. It's good to be committed towards your duty but it's equally important to have a balanced life. These characters can never see beyond their duty. And this never lets them have their guard down. At least Karishma has shown some improvement by letting Haseena know why she couldn't become an IPS or how difficult her childhood has been. She has discussed with Haseena how no one wanted a girl to be a cop or how her husband fought against the world for her. But Haseena never. It was only once when she has let MPT know how as a kid she was in her school. And yes few times with Pushpa Ji!

yep yep. i agree with all of this. work-life balance is extremely important. they did touch on this topic during the inspector Vikram case post haseena's first birthday celebration.

I might be the minority here but if we talk about relationships Pushpaji's bond with both Haseena and Karishma is my favorite. I like that much more than any other relationships.

I adore Pushpa ji's bonds with all of them as well. it lends the professional atmosphere with a personal touch of motherly warmth and affection.

if I had to choose a favourite relationship it would be the sisterly bond between my masumiyat and Karishma. I honestly don't what it is that draws me towards it despite the limited number of scenes we have between them.

Even after three generations, it's not clear yrkkh smiley37

we will never know.😆

I wonder if they themselves know this

XD probably yes and no.

I've never been into fairytales even as a kid smiley37

🤣🤣 as a kid, I watched power rangers. fairytales what? speaking of which, how old are you? (IDK if this is too personal. if it is, then I sincerely apologise for hurting/offending you.)

Yeah please let's do it. Old is gold and I still love those episodes. I don't think they will ever have any conversation on any of those topics ever again.

yeassss. do we need permission for that? or can we just make topics episode by episode?

smiley37smiley37smiley37

It's Haseena Mallik and her dearest team. Sometimes I think how all these weird people come together.

i guess that's the beauty of this show and its weird dynamics.

Specifically when we already know Haseena and SHO Haseena Mallik are two different people. So yes there might have been no need to explain to her team but she did owe an explanation who treats her as a daughter, to the woman who considers her a a friend, a girl and a man who looks upto her as a sister and also to Billu who has always stood by her.

yep yep.

@Blue: I'm 22 right now. And I'm never offended in telling my age. In fact, I boast infront of my siblings that I'm more experienced so you gotta obey me 🤣

And that makes me remember I don't know anyone's age here 😭

Mahabharat is absolute love, I've been obsessed with it since childhood when I first watched the BR chopra version. I rewatched it so many times that its almost a guilty pleasure. For me it's history, but even as mythology I think everyone should read and analyze it once in their lifetime. The events and individuals portray every human emotion, relationship and flaw. Everyone is grey, everyone has a backstory, everyone wins, and everyone loses. Like Komal said, there are so many subtleties and nuances in each moment that it's like constantly finding puzzle pieces you never even knew were missing. It is the best observation and metacommentary on human life that I have ever known.

Anyways, I'm sure its obvious how much I love Mahabharat haha. Really hope you do get to read/watch it (different productions/directions have different biases I think, you choose your own)

You mentioned this in your reply to rinki, that there was natural and gradual growth until the jankipuram track and then the forced narrative began. I think you hit the nail on the head with that. After JPT, which was an all time low in their bond and needed so much closure from both ends, instead their bond suddenly picked up pace. It really does feel like writers were pressured by the channel or kareena fans or trps idk, but they started randomly sprinkling in more and more overly sweet kareena moments. And they made full use of the urmila track to add even more of those. Fans loved karishma-urmila flirting and teasing, but that really wasn't kareena at all. Even if it was them subconsciously, it makes no sense why. All that stuff is very superficial and irrelevant in proving the friendship bond, because the foundation of the friendship has not been developed properly yet. But maybe that superficial stuff is what the kid fans love.

Overly sweet Kareena always make me uncomfortable, IDK why. There were many times I shouted at the back of mind that girls, please stop. Okay I get it you love each other. And only reason I can find is that suddenly from we can't stand each other, they went into we can't live without each other phase. And with every episode, it just kept on getting more. And I could still understand the friendship during Urmila track until Haseena was pretending to be Urmi but after memory loss, complete no! Like you mentioned, they were not Kareena so whatever development they made makes no sense.

Billu called them Ram-Bharat in haseena's re-welcome to thana post-covid recovery (episodes around october/november 2020). During haseena's absence karishma had refused to sit on the SHO chair, but continued to fulfil all her duties. So in haseena's welcome celebration when she is praising karishma, billu comments this is a Ram-Bharat jodi. He explains that karishma acted like Bharat, who placed Ram's sandals on the throne and managed the kingdom. I think Ram-Bharat was apt for that moment, but overall Ram-Lakshman fits better. I can totally see the parallels - Ram being extremely idealistic, empathetic, forgiving, calm, reserved. Ram did not express his suffering to anyone in separation from Sita, and the way haseena has silently dealt with anubhav's betrayals; Lakshman getting uncontrollably furious at anyone who dared to think of hurting Ram, and he would only calm down on Ram's command. Lakshman cutting surpankha's nose, and karishma horrifically beating that molester guy in JPT track. smiley36 Obviously haseena and karishma have mortal flaws like ego, expectations, etc. but I do think they (can) come very close to Ram-Lakshman at the human level.

Now I remember. Thanks for that! Yes the character traits are more similar to Ram-Lakshman, except the fact that Kareena are humans. Ah! Talk about ego between them 😆 that's a never-ending saga.

Oh yea for sure there is a leader-follower aspect, because ultimately Krishna-Arjun (and Ram-Lakshman) have a God-devotee relationship. That's what I meant by inevitable hierarchy, one will always obey and idolize the other because the other is inherently superior. I think the main difference lies in how Lakshman and Ram kept their boundaries while Arjun and Krishna were good friends at the core. And I think that's the progress we need to see between kareena.

For Lakshman, Ram's words were like carving in the stone. It had to be done. He worshipped Ram to the extent that he left his family, mother and wife and followed him. If we talk about Arjun and Krishna, Arjun too followed Krishna. In fact, he fought the battle because he trusted Krishna's words but apart from being a follower, he found a friend in Krishna too. Their bond was never formal and bounded by walls of respect like Ram-Lakshman. Completely agreed that there will always be mentor-mentee relationship because at the end of the day they will senior and junior in MPT. But I'd wait for the day when they start confiding into each other as well.

I really hope so too, but I also hope it doesn't take overly lovey-dovey gestures to show they're at that stage. The initial progress of the bond was very subtle and beautiful, but now its shoved right into our face.

Makers are already into that zone 🤣

I was also a little hain? when she said that. the lack of comedic background score also made it seem kinda intentional to me and cheetah looked genuinely hurt. I understand her frustration but at the same time, I disliked the words she used.

cheetah quite literally snatched her phone and shouted/insulted/threatened whoever was on the other side. it was crossing a line and personal boundary which really annoyed me. firstly, she can answer for herself, she doesn't need someone to do it for her. secondly, she told him to stop multiple times and he didnt. I cant remember who said it but I agree with them- when she said stop, he should have stopped.

so while I understand her frustration and wanted her to lash out at him because of his behaviour in the past few weeks, that phrasing didn't sit well with me. id prefer if she had this conversation with him in private and calmly sorts this matter out.
