Avnis subservience has always motivated frustration in me and i know that im watching good drama when I feel like this! The storyline is so realistic i find my self absorbed in all sorts of feelings. Sometimes i feel irritated when she obays her MIL and annoyed when she is passive while clearly being insulted and disrespected by Anju and Prabhu! Then other times I feel relief when they are all proved wrong. For example, when Prabhu and Anju got caught out for stealing Avnis lovely necklace that bhasker brought her with his bonus money!

That made up for it and keeps me watching and waiting for the next time when they have to admit they are wrong for treating Avni wrong! The beauty of Avnis character like many women is that she knows she is right and does not have to prove the truth! The truth always comes back to bit those that have done her wrong!

Many programs portray the under dog but the beauty is that as they say -every dog gets its day-. And Avni will as well! Great fun chatting about it! What do you think she could do to assert herself more?

Angelbud, I agree with some of your comments disagree with others. In real life it is impossible to cook and clean for everybody and be ordered around by Anju, Prabhu and Lata, the daughter and her husband order Avni, while they sit and chat and just eat, for an adult it is not possible to obey anybody unless you have no ego and are slave. When I watch Avni doing all this I am reminded of the fact that she is acting and it is not real, in real life she will not be able to do all she is doing in the serial, be a perfect worker, perfect wife, perfect daughter and perfect daughter in law, hence in my opinion this unrealistic depiction of Avni's character is the short fall of the serial. To make it realistic Avni has to have some back bone has to have guts to take on family members with unrealistic expectations of her, who do nothing and order her around. In one of the past episodes |Avni started clashing with her MIL and those were the best episodes I enjoyed them the most.

Because of the unrealistic Avni's character I am constantly reminded that this just a fake story not real life and this can never never happen in real life without person rebelling. The serial will be much better if Avni stants up for her rights at least some times and answers Lata back and Abha gives back to Kartik's mother and Kartik's mother is forced to behave.

this is a show!! as compared to other shows on tv this show is far more realistic. the way the evil is conned down in no time no other show depicts this. same negativity is dragged for days n weeks...

all the various things shown in the show are realistic; they happen in our lives!! only thing being in "daily soaps" things are made perfect to add spice!!
