Maayka girl Shilpa Shinde in tears
Shilpa Shinde, who plays Soni in Maayka, cried on the sets because she could not shoot for a hoarding campaign for the show.
Soni is getting married in Maayka which is a high point in the serial. Thus, the channel and the production house wanted to publicize it. They decided on creating a hoarding campaign. However, Shilpa was so busy preparing for the marriage that she could not shoot for it. A separate date was then fixed but this time the shoot was cancelled and Shilpa ended in tears.

Yash, Executive Producer of the show, was pretty unaware about the happening. "If she would have cried on the sets, I would have come to know about it. She is a very nice girl who always co-operates with us so why will we cancel her shoot.
We wanted to shoot for hoardings of Soni's wedding but it was a hectic schedule. We packed up at 4 am and decided to leave."
Shilpa herself was not available for comments. It was her first hoarding campaign. In the show, Soni is getting married to Jeet (Veenit Raina), who is Durga (Aruna Irani)'s son.
