Roja's honeymoon scene in Maayka
There is a scene in Maayka that will surely remind viewers of Mani Ratnam's Roja. In the serial, Mahi (Neha Bamb) and Shabd (Vivan Bathena) are in Kashmir for their honeymoon. In one scene, Vivan puts ice cubes in Neha's dress, and she runs out of the bathroom wearing a nightgown.
Says Vivan, "As in the film, on our honeymoon Mahi also keeps on talking to her family. In a romantic mood as I am, for some amorous fun with Mahi I put ice cubes in her dress twice. As a result, she runs out of the bathroom.'

"The production house wanted her to wear a white shirt for that scene. However, Neha refused, as the shirt was really short. In fact, in films as well nobody would have agreed to do that. Finally, she wore something like a nightgown."
"The whole situation was so funny, but Neha and I were very comfortable with it. We enjoyed it a lot. I don't think she had any objection to doing such a scene. We used real ice, and because of that now I have got a cold. Nevertheless, the scene was great. We completed the shooting in Mumbai."
In the serial, Vivan is playing the role of a fashion photographer; Neha, a traditional Punjabi girl. Earlier in Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai, where Neha played the role of a singer, she sometimes needed to wear short dresses.
