Is that really possible?

You know how Mahi came in her slawaar and everyone started looking at her and stuff, and calling her a I dunno village girl or somethine. Does that really happen in India? I mean, salwaar arent just somehting old fashioned people wear, its very classy. I've never heard of that happening no matter how "high classs" the party is. You have the hippest actresses and people wearing saree's and salwaars intheir parties too.

Yeah you should dress according to occasion, but it is a reception and Mahi is a new bride...your supposed to wear like cultural clothes.

Like the drinking I can understand, it happens.But like how Shabd got angry when the DJ was playing panjabi music, that diesnt happen. Even out here, you have panjabi music playing in like American clubs and stuff too. And even in our parties, you wear salwaars. People wear them at school too on like a dress up day.

If thats how it really is in India right now, then thats just sad.

I'm sure that's not how it is down in INDIA....I guess they were exaggerating the situation....I felt the same, I was like, in india do they call every1 who wears salwar kameez's a behenji??? no matter how good they look in it?? I thought mahi looked stunning in the black dress....better than that suzzane girl will eva look in anything..!! In all serials they exaggerate....they could of just have his friends say summink like....shabd is the type who like modern girls...etc....etc..!!

Yah and I know what u mean about the music...alot of music like punjabi and bhangra can be heard here nearly all the time....very popular..!

yeah I know, but that may be true in some cases, wannabe's do tend to go toooo far at times....but not shabd , I mean he seems a guy who is like "with it" u know....so I didn't think that part in particular suited his personality.

Everything is different in india now. I went there and felt like a retard wearing jeans. Everybody at the mall was in skirts. Its just that India is trying to become modern and adapt American culture. I think India is capable of making their own fashion styles 😳 They dont have to copy other countries. Its just sad that if you wear a salwars, u end up being called a behenji.
