I agree, I have been saying numerous times, that it's coz of his upbringing.
And about standing up for mahi....how can he....he thinks, she is what he thinks she is....that's why he has been praising her in front of his friends....if he himself doesen't think that she's the typical traditional type, how will he know when to stand up for her???
