Shabd thought Mahi is a modern girl in olden veil of culture. He thought she is ultra modern model hidden respecting old cultured parents. He married her coz he loved her innocense, her beauty, her charm.
His misconception will break soon when he learns that she is by nature, by birth, by brought up a traditional middle class ladki. She respects her family's culture. This is clear when he said "mahi! yahan ujargon nahin hai...you don't have your parents around here...don't have to wear salwars...be you as you are"..poor Shabd!!!
She decided to change to his choice when talking to her sisters..."shayad mujhey hi badalna hoga"...but I'm sure he will change himself when he learns whatever he is thinking as his culture is not real.
His ego is brshed in the party by his so called friends and hurt to see Mahi in salwar kameez instead of modern/western clothes. He would hae made her change into his tastes if Veer doesn't interfere.
Raaji....... I loved her maturity in understanding the situations....
Soni........immature but blindly believes in her culture and dare to speak it out
Veer.......sympathetic towards Mahi...as cousine he knows Shabd's habits and his so called high society...and tries to control Shabd but he is not in a condition to listen him.
At the end of the party Shabd forced Mahi to finish the beer left in his tumbler but I don't think he succeeds in making Mahi touch it. Veer is thee for her rescue :clappy:
Now Mahi completely learnt aout Shabd and her sasural....waiting to see how she handles them instead of mingling into their culture
