Shabd thought Mahi is a modern girl in olden veil of culture. He thought she is ultra modern model hidden respecting old cultured parents. He married her coz he loved her innocense, her beauty, her charm.
His misconception will break soon when he learns that she is by nature, by birth, by brought up a traditional middle class ladki. She respects her family's culture. This is clear when he said "mahi! yahan ujargon nahin hai...you don't have your parents around here...don't have to wear salwars...be you as you are"..poor Shabd!!!

She decided to change to his choice when talking to her sisters..."shayad mujhey hi badalna hoga"...but I'm sure he will change himself when he learns whatever he is thinking as his culture is not real.

His ego is brshed in the party by his so called friends and hurt to see Mahi in salwar kameez instead of modern/western clothes. He would hae made her change into his tastes if Veer doesn't interfere.

Raaji....... I loved her maturity in understanding the situations....
Soni........immature but blindly believes in her culture and dare to speak it out
Veer.......sympathetic towards Mahi...as cousine he knows Shabd's habits and his so called high society...and tries to control Shabd but he is not in a condition to listen him.

At the end of the party Shabd forced Mahi to finish the beer left in his tumbler but I don't think he succeeds in making Mahi touch it. Veer is thee for her rescue :clappy:

Now Mahi completely learnt aout Shabd and her sasural....waiting to see how she handles them instead of mingling into their culture

I understand tpam!
Veer is a service person he learns how to behave in his profession and he got traits from his father and not Durga aunty 😆

He really sympathised for Mai and tried to correct Shabd.
Shabd is a bigada hua ameer ladka hai and he has all fools around him who mistakes culture and lives in money. He liked mahi for her physcal presence and innocent nature. He doesn't know her by personnality.
He also said "lagta hai tum kuch jaada hi serious le rahi ho iss shadi ko lekar"...what does he mean? He is not serious? What does he tink of a 'shadi'?
Now it's Mahi's turn to teach him what is culture and how to live in real life.

I also agree with Rajji, and it's not shows at all that you are educated. The way those all commenting on Mahi it shows their own lack of education and knowledge.

Nice post Valli di.

wearing indian dress means u r illiterate?? yaa thats wat one of shabd's stupid girlfrnd was telling abt mahi... absolutely pathetic statement - probably the worst ive ever heard!
aftr seeing todays episode i can only say one thing shabd has very low IQ ppl as frnds and i doubt his IQ level too... the way they talk, the way they behave ;the way they try to copy other culture[although not successful in that too, becoz they inherit wats bad in others culture not wats gudd], their topic of discussion , the kind of body language,r very much like illiterates!
it is not mahi and her sisters who r illiterate it is they who r illiterate ...
veer is the real man , so much cultured and well behaved and dignified. thats wat requires to b a gudd human being.... agree
to becum modern its not necesaary to becum cheap and vulgar..
mahi the way she dressed in black salwar was too modern and dignified... she looked stunning shabd must learn , it is not luks , not dresses that make yu modern , it is ur thots that stands apart, it is ur ways that make yu modern! true

thats why i liked veer , he is modern , respectable man , with dignity and ability to understand others feelings and emotions and definitely has the guts to protect his wife ,not only wife even his sis in laws. yea me love veer even more now😳

i am not against western clothes bt wat was shown today was nt modern bt a cheap copy of a gudd foreign culture by shabd and his brainless frnds

shabd lacks intellectuality and intelligence.. he bad copy of western culture

P.S: I wrote abt the character shabd , not abt vivan , becoz i myself like vivan a lot
