Thank you Brownies for finally speaking up about this. I avoid posting on this forum because it is impossible to have a proper conversation about this show. This isn't a Maayka forum, it's a Mahi/Neha forum. There should be a separete place for people to worship Mahi and Neha Bamb so that those of us who want to discuss the characters and the show itself can post in peace.
sudhirm, who is bashing Neha? I have read exactly ONE post that criticized Neha since I have started reading here. It's certainly a lot less common than seeing post after post gushing over Mahi, and I for one am sick of reading posts like that. We all know how much you and everyone else loves Mahi and Neha. We don't need to read about it every day, repeatedly.
Even if someone does bash Mahi, who really cares? She is a fictional character. All the posts that were criticizing her actions were criticizing Mahi. If you can't tell that Mahi and Neha are two different people (and even that isn't true, considering Mahi doesn't exist), that is your own personal problem.
I used to see a LOT of bashing of Shilpa and Soni, yet no one is running to their defense.
Personally I think both characters have made their share of mistakes and done stupid things, and I don't really care enough about the actors to have a negative or positive view of them. I don't know them so I don't judge them either way.
In this particular case, Mahi behaved badly. If your original post is about how she is only human and makes mistakes, then fine. But just like any other human being, she needs to be held accountable for her mistakes. She doesn't get a free pass. She is a hothead and needs to control herself. She is too easily angered while Soni doesn't get angry enough. Both sisters could learn from each other.
There, do you think my criticism is some veiled insult towards Neha? If so, there is really no reason to continue this conversation, as you would simply be behaving unreasonably.
I know I am fighting a losing battle here, but the truth is that the problem here is not those who criticize the characters, but those who WORSHIP them to a point where no one is allowed to say anything negative without being chastised.
