Amidst fun and merriment, 'Euphonity' - the Annual Banking and Insurance Festival -was held at the Swami Vivekananda College on February 4 and 5, wherein numerous contests were organised for the students.

"The word Euphonity in the literal sense refers to entery into a new dimension. This year, the festival was bigger than ever and better than before," states Nickey Mirchandani, the student vice chairperson from the organising committee.
"The festival was an opportunity for students from various colleges to explore the craziest competitions and showcase their talent," says the student chairperson Madhura Potnis.
Some of the contests in the two-day event were 'Are you a hustler?', 'Sudoku Master', 'Wack Freak', 'Kiska Paisa Bolega' and 'Kiska ad Bajega'.
'Are you a hustler?' was an unusual event where a code had to be broken and a bank had to be robbed and where the hustler had to be caught. 'Kiska Paisa Bolega' had a mock share market, where the person who made the maximum profit in the mock share market was the winner.
Informing about the other contests, student creative head Isha Madan says, "Sudoku Master was all about playing with numbers and climbing the ladder for the prize. In brain storming, we had questions and questions with the simplest of answers. In the game Disport, students got to enjoy a cluster of fun-filled activities, like poster making and T-shirt painting. 'Kiska Ad Bajega' was held in individual, as well as group categories, to spot the ad guru among the students. The winning team was decided on the basis of originality."
To add glamour to the festival, tele-actor Mishal Raheja from the tele-serial 'Love Story', graced the occasion. To entertain the participants, a comedy act was put up on the lines of the popular TV programme 'Laughter Challenge', which had everyone in splits.
The students had decided to donate their entire proceeds from the festival to PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
"PETA India operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on or use for entertainment. PETA is engaged in educating policymakers and the public about animal abuse and in promoting an understanding for the right of all animals to be treated with respect. It was a proud occasion for Euphonity to associate ourselves with PETA India organisation, in order to oppose animal abuse and to spread awareness in the society with our best possible efforts," concluded the committed students.
