friends guess what i had got the interiew of aakash and shruti.

aakash:

Is this your first venture in television?
No, it is actually my second venture in television. The first one was for MTV show 'Pyaar Vyar' and 'All That'.

How is your experience in this serial?
It has been a pretty good experience so far. Each day is a different and resourceful experience for me. I'm lucky to be working with such great people like Anurag Basu. What else can I ask for at such a young age.

How has been your experience with Anurag Basu?
Oh, he is a fabulous director. He is as good in television, as he is in films. I could not get a better director to work with. He is the best learning school for a new comer. He is a very easy going person and knows how to extract the best from his actors.

So would you like to work with him in a film too?
Why not? I would certainly love to work with him. I want to work in films together. I think that television is a mere stepping stone. Any actor from television would always want to get into films and would be lying if they said that they did not want to.

Tell us something about your character?
My character's name is Akash and he is a very reserved kind of a guy. He has two friends and does not need anyone else. His father had died when he was around six years old and thus is an extremely rowdy guy. He has such characteristics, but then he is not a bad guy. He is a back bencher, but does not hurt anyone. He is one such guy who does not like injustice and thus the police are running behind him because he had put up a fight with some other guys. All this is happening in his life just because of a girl.

How did 'Love Story' happen to you?
I guess they had seen me in MTV's show and that is how I was selected for the role.

How well are you being able to relate to your character?
(Laughs) I'm not at all like Akash in real life. I'm a happy-go-lucky person who just cannot keep quiet. For every actor the first few days are a little difficult to get into the skin of the character and it also happened with me. But now I'm comfortable playing my character.

How is your rapport with your co-stars?
I'm really glad that I have got such talented and good co-stars to work with. There is always something happening on the sets.

Any incident you would like to share with us?
Actually, every day is an incident (laughs). Yet, I remember the first day of the shooting when Harsh Chaya and I had to roll down the stairs and we did the stunt ourselves. It was the first time that I was doing a stunt and was nervous at the first take. However, after every take I gained in confidence and completed the sequence. Tell us a little about yourself?
I'm a boy from Mumbai and did graduation from HR College. Then I went to the United States for my further studies. I also worked in New York for sometime, but was not getting mental satisfaction.

So was acting always on the cards?
As I told you, I was working in New York, but something was not happening. I always felt that I should go back to India and fulfill my dreams. So I came back to India and followed what I always wanted to do. And here I'm acting.

Are you being able to cope up with the hectic schedules?
I have to. This is the way this industry works.

Any offers in the pipeline?
Yes, I had received many offers, but for now I want to concentrate on 'Love Story' because it is keeping me engaged and interested.

shruti:

Q: How do you find Love Story?
A: It is pretty exciting working in Love Story. I'm blessed that I got an opportunity to work in such a good show.

Q: Tell us something about your character in the show.
A: I play a girl called Shruti from Chandni Chowk in New Delhi. She is a college going bubbly, chirpy and cute girl. In college she falls in love with her senior Akash and it cannot be called a one-sided affair, but it is just that Shruti is more expressive than Akash.

Q: What else have you done?
A: Actually, I'm from Bengal and have done lead roles in films there. I have got the opportunity to work with the best directors and producers there. My last Bengali film I Love You was released in January is still a hit. I have also worked in a south Indian film titled FM.

Q: From films in Bengal to a television serial in Mumbai. Why did you take the decision?
A: See, Mumbai is the ultimate destination for all in glamour business. It is like working on a nationalised level. I did Bengali films no doubt, but it was on a regional level. Every actor wants to come in Mumbai.

Q: How is it working with a director like Anurag Basu?
A: It is great. I always wanted to work with him. What else can I ask for in my debut television venture?

Q: Do you feel it is a gem of an opportunity working with him?
A: Very few actors are privileged to work with a director like Anurag. He is such a good director both in films and television.

Q: How much do you identify with your character Shruti in your real life?
A: I am exactly like Shruti in my real life too and thus it makes things easier for me when I have to enact my character.

Q: How is your chemistry with your co-stars?
A: I'm really lucky that I have got such good and supportive co-stars. We all are young and thus things keep happening on the sets.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I'm from Bengal and I had never thought that I would become an actress. I was doing my graduation and a job when I started getting offers for films. So I thought of giving it a try.

Q: So how did Love Story happen to you?
A: Anurag Basu was in Kolkata when I was shooting for a Bengali film. One of my friends Jikesh received a message from Anurag and we went to meet him. There we had a chat and maybe I was in his mind for this role since then. I did not know that he was starting a new venture in television.

Q: So, are you planning for Bollywood?
A: I have not planned for anything in my life, because I feel that if things do not happen according to one's plans, he or she feels extremely hurt. Thus, I cannot say what I would be doing next.

Q: Now is the era of saas-bahu sagas. Why do you think Love Story will work in this scenario?
A: Love Story is something different. In today's time people also want to watch something different and some good quality programmes.
