Part-11

All first year cadets were resting on the training ground as it was their break from Major Niar's drill. Naina wanted to talk to Huda, Ali and Aalekh about Raj but she didn't get chance. But Major Bhargav's arrival had put break in their investigation, and Naina didn't want any unwanted feud with MB.

Huda went to get something from Dr. Shalini and he was little shocked when he came back.

Aalekh- Abe Nautanki kya hua? Wo Mogambo raaste main mil gaya tha kya?

Huda- Nahi Kaidi, lekin us Mogambo ne aisa kuch kiya hai ki main shocked ho gaya hoon.

Pooja- Hi Rabba, kahi usne phir se hamare connection main virus daalne ka plan to nahi banaya na….

Huda- He announced Mentorship camps, and a week from today our batch is going on mentorship camp for two days.

Naina- What? Is he out of his mind? We don't need mentorship camps. We already had done these things.

Ali- Naina, don't forget that we are here first year cadets and we have to join these camps whether we like it or not…

Sherry- What is this mentorship camp?

Naina- They are going to assign you a teacher as your mentor and that teacher will help you out with different training problems you come across in your training, and these camps are organized so you can make a bond with your mentor.

Sherry- So in other words, they are organizing baby-sitters for us.

Everyone looked amusingly at Sherry and then burst out laughing on her funny comment about mentorship camp.

On the other side, MB called out a faculty meeting about these mentorship camps.

MB- I am going to organize these camps but I am personally going to supervise fifth batch that includes our some special cadets.

MC- They do need some strict supervision after all.

MB- I am going to assign their mentors personally. I hope none of you have any problem with that.

All- No sir….

MB- Good then…

The other day, lolitaji handed out the forms to our dear six cadets.

Pooja- Yaar, they have given us three choices to pick our mentor so we can choose anyone we want….

Aalekh- Wo naam fill up karne ki koi load mat le pooja. Mogambo hum ko wo hi teacher assign karega jiska naam hum ne nahi likha. To behtar to yahi hai ki hum wo us pe chod de kya pata koi acha teacher tere naseeb main aa jaye.

Huda- Lagta hai is baar bhi is mogambo ko jane se pehle thoda mazza chakhana hoga jaisa pichle baar kiya tha.

Sherry- You mean we are going to play prank on him….. cool…

Naina- No, not right now…. We have to wait for the right time so he couldn't do any harm to us.

Ali- Wo sab baad main, pehle ye form submit kar dete hai.

They submitted the forms and MB was disappointed when he saw blank spaces under favorite teachers.

Major Bhargav put the names of mentor-students on notice board. Aalekh and Ali checked them and went to tell their friends who were in games room.

Aalekh- The names are out for mentorship camp.

Huda- So kaun hai jis ko mujhe zhelna hai?

Ali- Hudabhai aap ke mentor hai Captain Naveen…

Aalekh- Haan Naina, tere bhai ki to vaat lag gayee jo usko Huda jaisa protge mila hai.

Naina(smiled)- well I think they both are suited for each other.

Sherry- What about rest of us?

Aalekh- Sherry- tere mentor hai Captain Abhimanyu and Pooja, you got captain Nandini.

Ali- Aalekh bhai's mentor is Dr. Ritu and mine is Dr. Shalini.

Huda- Good, so kisi ko bhi Major Niar nahi mila mentor ki jagah pe… But what about Naina?

Ali- Captain Rajveer is Naina's mentor.

Aalekh- Mogambo is going to supervise our camp so we have to be ready for extra exercises.

Pooja- Kameena kahin ka….

On the other side, faculty members were also discussing about the mentorship camp.

Naveen- I hope Cadet Huda behaves well because I hate to punish any of them.

Abhi- Yeah, I got Cadet Sherry. Raj, if you don't mind, can you talk to her that she will behave herself in the mentorship camp.

Raj- That's between you and your protg. I have to stay out of it.

Naveen- So you would be able to handle Naina very well then….

Raj- Well, they all like us now, so I don't think we would have problems with them.

Shalini- But if they want to mess with Major Bhargav then they really will create problems for us.

Nandini- I am really worried that I have to learn mobile language as I got Cadet ghai as my protg.

All laughed at her statement and hoped that these cadets behave themselves in Major Bhargav's presence.

Major Niar and Major Bhargav had organized some activities before the actual mentorship camp. First of all, all protges had to meet their mentors to talk to them.

Ali and Dr. Shalini had a good conversation and after their talk Shalini and Ali were both looking forward to this camp.

On the other side, Nandini called Pooja in her room.

Nandini- So cadet ghai, I guess I am your mentor.

Pooja(excitedly)- yes, ma'am. My battery is fully charged after I got to know that you are my mentor and our network will work well unless that mogambo or muchchad don't put any virus in the connection.

Nandini(confused)- I am sorry pooja, but I will need a little time to understand your mobile language so you need to talk to me in normal language until I get a good grip on mobile codes.

Pooja(laughed)- Don't worry ma'am, I promise you that when we will come back from mentorship camp, you will master mobile codes.

Nandini(smiled)- All right then I am looking forward to joint my connection with your network…

Pooja- See, you learned really quickly.

Ritu warned Aalekh not to bring any alcohol to mentorship camp which Aalekh agreed but he wasn't going to keep his promise as he needed his "daru" to go to sleep.

On the other side, Abhimanyu was confused as he had no idea how to deal with sherry.

Abhi- So cadet sherry, I am assigned as your mentor.

Sherry- If you called me to tell me that then you just wasted your time because I already knew that.

Abhi- I am looking forward to this camp. It can help you in your training you know.

Sherry- I am here to disappoint my dad and I am very determined to do it so you should leave your efforts to teach me anything about army.

Abhi (sighed)- Well I will see you later.

After she left, Abhi thought that he will have to do a lot work to make this mentor-protg relationship work between him and sherry.

But the most fun part was when Naveen called Huda to talk to him.

Naveen- Cadet Huda, I have been assigned as your mentor.

Huda- sir, I only have one question.

Naveen- What is it?

Huda- Does that mean I can ask anything when I have a problem as you are my mentor.

Naveen- Yes you can ask me whatever your problem is, and I will try my best to help you.

Huda- Good then I really have two problems right now.

Naveen- What is it?

Huda- Wo kya hai na sirji, meri ek bhains hai Rajesh… Usko na bachcha hone wala hai ab mujhe ye samaj main nahi aa raha ki ye bachcha main apni do main se kis janani ko gift karoon? Meri dono girl friends priya & sheela ka birthday is mahine hi hai. Agar ek ko gift karoonga to bahut bura hoga na… Kaash rajesh do bachchon ko janam deti phir main dono bhians ko gift kar sakta na… To bataye sirji, iski kya solution hai?

Naveen was looking at him with shocked expressions as he couldn't believe that Huda had given names to his bhains and he wanted to gift bhains to his two girlfriends on their birthday and this had nothing to do with military academy or mentorship camp.

Naveen was angry at first but then he realized that if he wanted to bond with Huda then he had to do with Huda's style even though it was ridiculously unusual.

Naveen- Tum ek kaam kyon nahi karte Huda, pehle ye pata karo ke dono main se jyada bhains kis ko pasand hai. Jis ko jyada pasand hai usko ye gift dena aur baki ko koi aur…

Huda- Oy sirji, great idea…. Lagta hai hum dono ki khoob jamegi.

Naveen(sighed)- Clearly…

Raj called Naina to talk about mentorship camp and he was waiting for her for last one hour. She turned up at his room an hour late. Raj was annoyed a little.

Raj- Where were you Naina? I called you an hour ago…

Naina- Chill Raj, I was hung up with one of the stupid assignment lolitaji had given us. I was helping Aalekh finish up as his English still isn't very good.

Raj- Then you should have let me know.

Naina- Sorry….

Raj- It's ok. But let's talk about this mentorship camp.

Naina- What's to talk about? Mogambo will give us some exercises to finish and then he will give us some lectures and then we will be back.

Raj- Mentorship camps are much more than that you know…

Naina- I know Raj and I had best mentor when I was a cadet and no one can replace him in my life.

Raj- Captain Kunal Kapoor was your mentor, wasn't he?

Naina- yeah….

Raj- Naina, I am your friend and I never want to behave neither as your mentor nor as your senior officer. You know that right?

Naina- Yes Raj, I know that and that's why I am glad that I told you the truth because I am looking forward to this camp.

Raj- me too, by the way did you tell Huda, Aalekh and Ali about me?

Naina- No, I didn't get any opportunity but I will tell them after this camp.

Raj- All right then we will work on the case.

Naina- Sure….

Part-12

After two days, the six pairs had set off for their first destination.

Naveen and Huda started to jog even though Huda wasn't too keen about the idea of jogging really early in the morning, but he couldn't argue with Huda. Nandini and Pooja went at slower pace because Pooja wasn't used to such exercise and she was constantly talking in her own mobile style and Nandini was trying to understand what Pooja was saying. Aalekh-Ritu and Ali- Shalini pairs were jogging while talking.

Abhi made sure to go at slower pace because he knew Sherry wasn't used to such exercise as others. They were walking when Naina and Raj joined them as they started a little late than others because Raj had to finish some of his work and BC didn't mind as he knew Naina's true identity and Raj's mission.

Raj made an excuse to others that he woke up late due to late night work.

Sherry saw both Raj and Naina and they greeted each other.

Sherry(looking at Raj)- I thought the army officers are punctual in everything but why are you late this morning? Don't you have your duty to your protg or you forgot due to your personal matters bhaiya?

Abhi- Sherry, you know Raj isn't just your elder brother, he is also your senior officer, so sooner or later you have to get used to speaking properly to him and your senior officers.

Sherry- Yeah right sir, if I don't speak properly to that Mogambo, then what makes you think that I am going to change around bhaiya or any other of you? And besides I am right.

Abhi and Raj both shook their head realizing that they really had a very long way to go.

Naina smiled and started to jog ahead so Raj also increased his speed to keep up with Naina and soon they both were little ahead of Abhimanyu and Sherry where they couldn't hear them anymore.

Raj- Ye sherry bhi na, kabhi ek bhi mauka nahi jane deti comments karne ka… Aisa hi raha to hum nahi lekin Major Bhargav doobara us ko sazza jarror sunayega…

Naina- Don't worry, we will handle all punishments and Major Bhargav together.

Raj- Kamal hai, kuch din pehle hi tum solitary confinement main ja kar aaye ho phir bhi tum log Major Bhargav ke saath pange lene ki soch rahe ho?

Naina- Well even we will stay out of his way, he will do something to punish us? It's in his nature. So we decided that we will suffer punishment by harassing him. I always believe in "Tit for Tat"

Raj- You know Naina, lagta hai tum log khud to phasoge lekin hum ko bhi saath phasaoge.

Naina- Why? Are you afraid of Major Bhargav?

Raj- Hell No, I am just saying anyways let's speed up we are almost there.

After reaching to their destination, they had set up their tents and gathered around at night for dinner. Cadets enjoyed their dinner with some jokes and laughter while faculty members were discussing their experiences to each other.

Nandini- I think my connection is working well.

Abhi- Oh god, it looks like this mobile disease is contagious. You talk like Pooja…

Nandini- Well, because it's the good way to connect to your protg.

Shalini- Well I don't have any problem with Ali. He is really sincere.

Ritu- Same with Aalekh, but I think I really need to look out tonight to check whether he brought alcohol with him or not.

Abhi- Sherry is handful but I think I will survive.

Naveen- Yeah but I don't know how will I survive with Cadet Huda… He is certainly an experience.

Raj- What happened?

Naveen- All way from academy to here, he talked about his buffalos and his girlfriends. I have never seen such a flirt before. We used to flirt a lot but we are nothing compared to him.

All other laughed at Naveen's comment on Huda.

Naveen- By the way Raj, how is it going with Naina? Is it difficult to be her mentor?

Raj- Nope so far so good…

Everyone was trying to figure out their sleeping arrangements. Abhi offered Sherry to take the blanket but Sherry refused saying that she is able to take care of herself. Although when she was sleep, Abhi covered her with the blanket as she was feeling cold. He also went to outside to sit by the fire for sometime. Pooja talked about her boyfriend the reason she came at the KMA, and Nandini was listening to her with interest. Ali offered shalini the blanket and he just went straight to sleep.

Ritu caught Aalekh's bottle of Alcohol and she threw it in fire. Aalekh was annoyed but there wasn't anything he could do so he just tried to sleep but he was awake all night.

When Naveen came to the tent, he saw Huda sleeping with the blanket so peacefully. Naveen was angry but he heard something that made him laugh.

Huda was talking to his buffalo in his sleep and it was quite funny for Naveen. He realized that Huda loved his buffalos very much as he is farmer's son and he cares about animals as well as his friends.

On the other side, there was an argument going on between Raj and Naina.

Raj- Naina, yahan pe raat main kaafi thand padti hai to tum ye blanket rakh lo. I am used to cold.

Naina- Oh come on Raj, NDA is located in colder area than Ambala and I certainly can bare cold more than you so you keep that.

Raj- No you keep it as I am an army officer.

Naina- So am I…

Raj- I don't want any argument, and just do as I say…

Naina- Yeah like I am going to follow whatever you say to me…

And she stepped out of the tent and sat in front of fire.

Raj came out as he wasn't finished.

Raj- Naina, why did you come outside? Don't you want to go to sleep?

Naina- No Raj, I am not sleepy and if you are sleepy then go ahead. It's nice here. I want to stay here for sometime.

Raj smiled and sat across her.

Naina- What are we going to do next? Did you think of anything about the mission?

Raj- Well that's why I was late in the morning. I was discussing something with Brigadier chandok about some information.

Naina- What is it?

Raj took out a map and showed it to Naina, "According to this map, Captain Kunal used this route to get to this fort right there. I guess he hid some evidence there and we can find them. It's not much but it's something."

Naina- But it's the same forest we are in right now…

Raj- Yes, and that's why Brigadier Chandok was agreed for us to come here as mentorship camps.

Naina- But how are we going to go there? We are on mentorship camp and if we disappear, then others will suspect us.

Raj- Don't worry I have a plan. Major Bhargav is going to have a competition tomorrow and he is going to assign three teams to go in the direction of the fort so cadets can learn how to use clues and maps if you are ever trapped in forest, and the other three teams are going in the opposite direction to this lake right here.

Naina- But what if we are assigned to the direction of the lake?

Raj- We won't because as far as I know Major Bhargav he won't assign us that direction as he very well knows that I know that side of area pretty well.

Naina- yeah, and Major Bhargav hates both of us so he won't give us anything easy, so it's good for us.

Raj- But that means we are going to loose the competition. I hope it's okay with you…

Naina- I don't care about competition, and I already had this course before. I know pretty well how to find my way in forest because once we were trapped for real.

Raj- How?

(Flashback:

When Naina was at NDA, she, Neelu, Aalekh, Ali and Huda decided to go to the picnic on weekend. They went to hiking for two days and they were coming back after two days when there was so much rain and their car broke down on the way.

Huda- Yaar ye jungle ka raasta hai yahan pe to subah tak koi help bhi nahi milegi.

Aalekh- Aur hum ko subah main class pe time pe bhi jana hoga kyonki kal to Major Lambha ki drill hai and he is very strict.

Naina- Why don't we go from the jungle. It will be a shortcut so we won't have to walk that much and we will be there on time.

Neelu- Well I don't think it's very good idea. It's evening already.

Ali- But we have to go… sari raat yahin pe bhi nahi ruk sakte…

Aalekh- Fikar mat kar Neelu, apun sab tere saath hai…

They all went to the forest and since there was night, they were lost in the forest, and they try to find their way but they couldn't. Neelu was scared because it was already morning and she was tired.

Aalekh found an old broken building near the lake and they rested a little bit.

Neelu and Aalekh stayed in the building as Neelu was not in state to walk and Aalekh stayed with her while Ali, Huda and Naina split up in three directions to find the way.

Naina was going to the forest and she slipped as she didn't see a valley due to heavy fog in the area. She hang on the tree and screamed for "Help"

On the other side, Kunal was worried when none of the cadets and Neelu didn't get back so he went to search for them and he saw their car broken down so he and other soldiers came to find them in the forest.

Kunal heard her screaming and he saved her.

Flashback ends.)

Naina- That was terrible experience, and for five minutes I thought that I would never see any one again and that was the end of my life, but Kunal sir saved me on that day.

Raj- Well thank god, he was there but how come you never told this to Naveen or any of us before?

Naina- Are you mad? If Naveen bhaiya would have known, he wouldn't let me stay in the academy or he wouldn't let me go out on any picnic either.

They fell asleep right there while talking and Raj woke up early due to his habit and he saw Naina sleeping peacefully and that brought a cute smile on Raj's face. Raj started to feel a weird attraction to Naina. He didn't even know what feeling that was but it was great feeling for him.

All of them gathered around for breakfast which was tasteless crap thanks to Major Bhargav. MB came there and announced the competition. It was the same competition Raj mentioned to Naina earlier. MB sent Raj-Naina, Huda-Naveen and Aalekh- Ritu in the direction of the fort and he sent other three teams in the direction of the lake.

They had a whole day with them and their competition had started…

Precap: What will happen? Will Naina and Raj be able to find any clues?
