Hi all. Resham asked me to do an update for today, so here goes.
The show began with Abhimanyu castigating his junior officers for having lost Naina. Then he says that they would have to break into search parties and cover all points of exit in the city. Naina's mom wants to accompany them and Huda says she can, so Abhimanyu agrees. He warns the cadets that they know the repercussion of this behaviour and he does not want to be looking for five cadets. They then break into search parties.
Pooja and Aalekh, while looking for Naina, discuss what she's done. Pooja says that whatever is happening, 'woh bahut galat ho raha hai'. Naina is not the kind of person to escape from a situation. Aalekh tells her that Naina has not escaped, she's just moved towards her next destination. Poja says that as it is the system does not allow women to go forward, once they find Naina things will be difficult for her. Aalekh tells her that that will be true only if they find Naina. They go to the mall to look for her. In the meantime Naina has been hiding nearby and she goes off in the opposite direction.
Huda and aunty go to the railway station, where they discover that due to a land slide all outgoing trains have been cancelled. He asks her mom if there is any spot where Naina used to go when she was upset, she tells him there was a park that is not used now. Naveen used to play there with his friends and Naina would follow him. They head there.
Meanwhile, Yudi has checked at the bus stand and discovered that there is no bus out for the next 3 hours. (this city, you'll never get out of it :) Abhimanyu reminds him that absconder is a serious term, once Naina is caught she'd be in a civilian jail for 6 jails. And since 'authorities' think that these cadets conspire together, they all could be in the same situation. So Yudi comes up with his idea - he has developed a computer programme that predicts personality - likes, dislikes and where one would head in a crisis situation. Incidentally, when he opens the comp, they showed GPS (GPS is not a personality programme and requires, as far as i know, that the person being tracked be wearing or carrying something that allows them to be tracked) He tells Abhimanyu that he developed it to impress girls, this is the victory of 'brains over brawn'. Abhimanyu gives a small smile and indicates him to proceed.
Meanwhile, Naina is standing in the park and remembering Naveen. He tells her that friends are everything. She talks about how she's lost everything and is completely defeated now. She sinks down to the ground crying. Huda sees her like this and returns. He tells her mom that he looked everywhere in the park but couldnt find her.
Meanwhile Yudi's system is not working. So Abhimanyu asks him how many girls have you actually impressed with this? He sheepishly admits 'none'. Then Abhimanyu says that to impress girls all you need is confidence and magic. This magic, apparently, resides in the glares. He asks Yudi to wear those and walk over to a girl and ask her where the young people hang out in this city. (Really? Right now?) Yudi wears the glares and walks over and is a hit with the girl. He swaggers back, gives Abhimanyu the information and is all excited about the fact that the girl, unasked, gave him all information about herself. Abhimanyu tells him that the glares are his, since he worked the magic, but he'll get them after the detention.
So they are all back at the house and none of them has found Naina. When Abhimanyu and aunty go off into the house, Huda informs the others that he had seen Naina but they have no right to call her, she's suffered enough. Now they'll suffer in her stead. Aalekh nods and the scene ends with them all agreeing to this.
At night, they make a bonfire and gather around it, singing 'Ek Dusre se karte hai pyaar hum'. Abhimanyu is sitting at a distance (was it shot separately?) and smiling beatifically at them. They then talk about beginning a new life - a life without Naina. Naina meanwhile is overhearing all of this while hiding behind a nearby tree and weeping copiously. (And none of these soldiers detect her presence!) The cadets raise a toast to Naina, to which Abhimanyu also raises his cup. Naveen's voice informs us that Naina is torn between her heart and her mind, her loyalty to her friends and her desire to make a new and free life for herself.
The next morning, Abhimanyu leaves with his six charges. He informs Naina's mom that there will be repercussions of her absence. Search teams will be despatched and they will come to her place and ask her questions, possibly rude and intrusive ones. He says that what these cadets fail to realise is that sometimes there is no right or wrong, one just has to follow rules. She responds that she has lived through that once and is prepared for that again. He leaves. On the way, the jeep stops since Naina is standing on the side of the road, ready to be re-united with her friends.
What awaits these cadets at the detention centre? Is Bhargav going to give them a fair chance? Will Abhimanyu be able to help them in any way or are they headed towards more misery? Watch this space.
