well firstly, thanks for bringing this up ammu and saara 😊
okay .... as far as naina being right or wrong ... this is a really hard decision to make ...
- if we say she is wrong ... then we must also agree that rajveer was wrong in shooting navin (i'm sorry i love him too so don't take my view personally ... i'm just trying to rationalize all of this) ... there are other ways that each could've handled their respective situations (i'm not going to get into that right now ... i'll discuss it at the end) ...
- if we say she is right ... then what about the things that her brother said to her about the country coming before yourself ... but we also can't say that she purposely put her country at risk (although she did put it at risk) as she was not aware that the truck had the nuclear triggers in it ... correct me if i'm wrong but rajveer only gives her the "vasta" of the country by telling her that ritu is a spy before naina shoots ...
- now, the interesting thing to consider is the fact that we as an audience and naina are both confused about what aspect of her mission is important to her ... when she came to the academy her mission was to find the people who had falsely declared her brother a traitor ... we now know that the person was ritu as her testimony decided his fate at his trial ... her mission was to find the people who compelled her brother to shoot himself ... if you ignore whose hands the gun was in ... we can say that the person who made him out to be a traitor is the person who is responsible for navin's death ... hence again ... ritu is the culprit here ...
- naina shot rajveer ... and in doing so ... she reasons that she shot him because he shot her brother ... well when she thought that her brother had committed suicide she only wanted to punish the person who compelled him to do so ... technically you could argue that raj did not shoot navin ... he assisted him in suicide ... navin wanted to die ... if she wanted to punish the person who was behind the conspiracy against her brother ... she should have shot ritu ...
- alright, now that my circular reasoning has confused you all, i'll give my opinion:
- naina was wrong in shooting rajveer ... AND so was rajveer in shooting navin ... BUT two wrongs do not make a right ... however i can accept the story this way ... we've always seen naina as an impulsive person ... and in the state of mind that she was in when rajveer told her the truth, her character traits justify her actions ... during her trial maj bhargav accused her of being calculating ... i disagree ... a truly calculating person would have shot ritu in the leg ... gotten the necessary information out of her ... and then maybe took a shot at rajveer ... but she put her own safety into jeopardy by shooting rajveer
- now as far as figuring out how the story should go and how these two wrongs can be corrected ...
- i think that dj's is trying to show us that there are often things that happen between two people that just cannot be resolved ... i really think that this is why rajveer and naina's jodi breaking is right ... we can't expect her to easily forgive the man who shot her brother (no matter what the circumstances were and no matter how sweet the man is😳) ... in real life there aren't always happy endings ... at the same time ... we also shouldn't expect rajveer to be with the person who reminds him of his guilt ... i agree that he loves her ... but honestly i think that his love is based around his guilt for what he did to her brother ... as he said part of him wants to save her so that he can lessen the guilt he feels for not being able to save navin ... maybe the entry of his ex will help him realize whether or not her truly loves naina or he just wants to be the hero to her damsel in distress
okay wow that was long ... sorry 😳 ... and once again ... please don't take my words the wrong way ... i'm only trying to rationalize why this story is correct ... honestly i would have loved to see the r-n love story blossom ... but that isn't realistic ... i know someone will argue that tv doesn't need to be real ... but even keeping reality aside, this new twist is justified by their character traits ... it isn't just some random googly
