Have you signed two shows to be produced by DJ's? Yes. I will be seen in Jhoomein Jiya Re (Zee) and Left Right Left (SAB). Talks were on for over a year with DJ's, but nothing fell in place. It's only when I signed Left Right Left, that they offered me the Zee show too. Define your character in Left Right Left? I play Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan. There's nothing fake about him. He's not per- fect. This character will add an interest- ing twist to the show. The show's lead protagonist is Rajeev Khandelwal. Any apprehensions about sharing screen space with him? Not really. Success comes in dif- ferent ways and is viewed dif- ferently. I've known Rajeev. We've always expressed mutu- al regard for each other's work. There's no question of any insecurity. Is Jhoomein Jiya Re a musical? The crux of the show is dance. Ear- lier they had titled it Crazy Kiya Re, inspired by the song in Dhoom 2. But, they later changed it to Jhoomein Jiya Re. I play a choreographer who helps an ailing group of dancers. It's inter- esting to see how the inter-relation- ships are chalked out. The love sto- ries are weaved in very well. And the best part is that I have more than one love story revolving around me. Did your stint in Nach Baliye help you bag this role? I''ve always been very kicked about dancing. I was never trained in danc- ing, though many people think oth- erwise. But post Nach Baliye, I'm per- forming at many shows. Narayani (Shastri) and I've just completed our act in a music video. How was the experience of your first music video for Meet Brothers? It was great. Narayani and I had a blast shooting for it. The concept of the video was superb. The Meet Brothers have done a remarkable job. What else is new? I will be buying a house in Malad soon. Apart from this, I've just bought a new white Honda Civic. How's your love life? If you're hinting at Narayani then it's a no. She's an irreplaceable friend. She's my support system, advisor and critic. I maintain that we're just friends. If not Narayani, then who's it? Well, I've got two shows in my kitty. I just did one music video, but my love life is as dry as Rajasthan's desserts. Isn't that sad?
