R evamps and season breaks are not alien to shows on Sab TV. Not long ago were Lo Kal Lo Baat and Twinkle Beau- ty Parlour taken off air for a sup- posed break. This time, few shows and sitcoms that are aired in the 8 pm to 10 pm time band, will wind up for a month and a half during the cricket World Cup 2007. Priya Mishra, programming head of Sab TV, confirms the buzz, "Yes, the new sitcoms (Yes Boss, FIR) and shows (Left Right Left, Mohalla Mohabbat Wala) will take a break. It's a season break for the simple reason that the World Cup will begin. It will clash with most of our serials. Adjusting the shows around it is a problem." Are the shows being revamped? "Since we have the time, we are certainly going to make all efforts to revamp and make the shows look fresh. There will be many new things to look forward to," she remarks. Deeya and Tony Singh's Left Right Left is a channel driver. Star- ring Rajeev Khandelwal, it is a story of six youngsters who become responsible young men and women as they come together at the NDA Academy Adds Mishra, "I am very happy with the way the show is shaping up. Left Right Left has maintained its viewership. The last date of telecast is somewhere in mid- March, when the World Cup kicks off," Tony, the producer of Left Right Left, is happy with this develop- ment: "It's great news. The actors get a break and secondly, we get time to prepare a bank of episodes. And when we return, it's going to be with a new look, I can't reveal any further, just wait and watch." Priyanka Bassi, who acts as Naina in Left Right Left, says, "I am very happy that we are getting a season break for nearly two months. We really need a break. Only if something interesting comes my way, will I take it up." It's not only Left Right Left that will don a fresh look; Mohalla Mohobbat Wala will also be seen in a new avatar. Located near the Wagah border, the mohalla in this show is a clus- ter of homes, in which the protag- onists lead simple lives, devoid of hatred and jealousy. "We have planned for new sets and characters for this show. The last episode, before going off air, will have a new character walking in, I can't reveal the name but it will be quite a walk-in," signs off an excited Mishra.
