Ok, so I love his annoyance and her stubbornness. Me too ;) You're going to huff at me, are you Mr Patil? Well has no-one told you I'm your wife? If you can stare, I can stare back harder. LOL I'm glad you find them amusing. I do have quite a bit of fun writing them...Honestly loved the first couple sentences/paragraphs, made all my JMM1 "feels" (such a fangirl term ey ;p) come back in full swing. And don't you think for a second I had not noticed the-and I quote "Intertwined" fingers. I knew you'd catch that...Watson...it was written to be noted😛 How naturally his hands take hold of hers and then intertwines as though it's an everyday thing for them. Seriously! What just happened 😆

Lmao, I don't know why but the image of Dutta climbing a tree makes me LOL. I can picture it all now, he's climbing away like King Kong, while Naku stands awkwardly thinking "what the?" LOL. Totally got a "Me Tarzan, you Jane" vibe from that scene.

ROFL you should've seen me while writing it...was chuckling. And I have been in Naku's place...watching my tree climbing little brother zip up as if it was nothing. Mind you he was like 9 or 10 years old then but I do remember standing there thinking OMG if you fall I get in trouble...because you know I am older and meant to keep track of him...

But anyway...the tree climbing was only there because it was meant to be a hidden place...you know something ppl can't just walk by and say hey look a treehouse let's check it out. Nope, this was like a secret place...unless you know it's there and can climb up like TARZAN (🤣) you can't get to the place.

But a lot will happen in this little treehouse of theirs...😉

"He was not helping" < YEAH I bet he wasn't *nudge-nudge-wink-wink* what with all the waist grabbing, back bumping and general making her weak in the knees. ;p

Bet he was doing it on purpose, the sneak! Haha ...

Yes Dutta has a knack for avoiding all the important questions. That damn smart-mouth of his! (seems to be a running trait huh in all fics!)

Yep...and it's funny that in this FF they both have smart mouths...and quick maneuvers to outsmart the other😆 But, he doesn't even know yet how well and good he's trapped now...where's he going to run now...? And she's about to take advantage of that very fact.

It's really telling that Naku, realises Dutta has baggage. And a lot of it. I'm assuming at this point she'd assumed that other than a broken heart, there wasn't much else. Exactly. There are lots of layers to him. A lot of parts of his life affect him...and not many realize it right away because he's good at deflecting...and hiding...running even. But the way he reluctantly (Although mind you, his ease with Naku is noted on broaching and actually talking about the subject) opens up about his dad I think makes her actually realise that there is more to Dutta. I don't want to say that she knows there's more to him, as I feel she picked that up a long time ago, in fact from the first time she spoke after their marriage when he surprised her with the 6 month contract. From then on in, everything he did, she knew was not the be all and end all, there was more to him. He was definitely a question mark for her from the beginning. But you're right, with each day with him she did suspect there was more. Now, how much more...that was what she didn't know..BUT now, now, actually talking to him, seeing his love for his father in his eyes and voice, I recon she has finally latched onto that indeed there is a lot more to the story, as you put yourself "his insecurities [are] masked by control, anger and confidence" and now Naku knows it.

Yes, she's starting to understand him on a soul deep level. She can see more...his insecurities (which others don't know exist), his fears (which he avoids and denies) etc...he does mask it all with confidence, anger, carrying an air of authority. But deep down he's wounded and scarred.

AND OF COURSE YOU LEAVE IT HANGING WHEN WE ARE FINALLY GETTING SOMEWHERE. *shaking my head*

Oh dear Watson, I suspect you will enjoy the next UD and then say these very words again😆 Because that's just the way I roll :P Will wait for your reaction...

Daya, I loved this UD, I suspected I would, from where it was all leading, but I did. Not only did I get true Tasha and JMM1 vibes from it, but you took something we all loved, and put your own spin on it. Thank you 😳 Glad you liked it...JMM1 was my favorite part of the show...it really presented them and their relationship best!

Dutta remains pained, the guilt surfacing prevalently now, while Naku is the same stubborn mule, adamant to her last breath to have her say and mostly her answers, throw a treehouse into that mix and voila we have perfection. Yes a place where lots can happen...and will 😉 Which is what you achieved. My only criticism: it was short. I'd like more. Pot. Kettle! But then if you indulged me with more, no doubt I'd want even more, alas that vicious cycle of greed would have come about. Yep...that's how it always start :P
