Sriti Jha, who was last seen as Ganga in Balika Vadhu, will soon be back on the small screen as the lead actress in Ekta Kapoor's next show. It's tipped to replace Ekta's long-running show, Pavitra Rishta.

According to sources, the show is inspired by Tamil blockbuster Kandukondain Kandukondain, which starred Tabu-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Sriti will reprise Tabu's role of the elder sister. "While the actress is as good as confirmed, the final look test will take place in a few days.We are considering Adaa Khan to play the younger sister, while Mishal Raheja may be approached to play the male lead," says a source.

With Sriti having quit two powerful roles in the past " Jhanvi in Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava? and Ganga " it remains to be seen if history will repeat itself. The actress remained unavailable for comment.

though the females are prominent in KK the male leads roles were impactful.

lot of scope for performance.

thanks for sharing,nimmi and Sona..
personally love Sriti fine, matured actress.. not in age but in her acting... if she is paired with mishal.. for me it would be a dream come true..
so the question is he May be approached.. humm.. umm.. why him? now waiting for him to accept.. which would mean he is ready to consider giving up his business time to a serial..
still we can only hope , but the decision lies in his hands ,entirely...

hi sona

read the article in paper...he has been considered ...don't know he would look good with jha...tamil movie was based on jane austen sense and sensiblity...which character would suit him...novel had 2 main lead

hey same thoughts.. I felt same when i heard striti's name with mishal.. I would not love to watch their pair .. But anything to get mishal back onscreen... I never care about any actor or actress but this guy made a good impact on me...i remember my whole family used to refer him as lion .. The name itself describes the power of it

agree with u MR is rare breed among tv actors ..unlike prop like other tv main lead...MR either with jha or ada...i would n't like though...let see ...ekta serial i don't watch ...maybe this time its different based on novel...would be different😊
