Character of the week

Koel Naku.

Aayi kehti hai...

My first reaction was: what a bad make up, do they really need to make her that ugly. 😕 The eye brow was bad created...but as the story process Naku's skin color change and so did the color of her eyes. 😆 I have not seen all episodes before Dutta appear on the screen, but for what I know I would like to dig a little deeper in to Naku's character. 😊 Naku is beautiful, but her mom told her to hide her beauty for the world, she calls it a curse. Naku is being teased and treated like trash because of the ugly mask she is force to wear. Naku is like Eve with the forbidden apple. It cannot be easy and it must destroy a lot in you, to know from your mom that who you really are is a curse and who you are force to be, people see you as trash.

If you think about it, when Babi gave Naku the black color on her face (saw it in the pre cap) it was an assault.

Because of what she has been told and what she has been through she also sees her beauty as a curse and she does not feel she deserve to be loved or can be loved. Naku in her true color does not recognize the girl in the mirror as herself.

Naku kind of gets "enchanted" by her own beauty. 🤔

All this has also made Naku keep her emotions for herself, she does not show anyone who Naku as a person is and she does not let anything affect her.

Whatever little she get she appreciate it, likely because she does not feel she deserve more. Naku's character also had many shades, but as I said before, I do not feel Mahi was able to show all the shades.

I believe that Naku was brought in to Dutta's life to bring him on the right path, to make him connect with his heart, to make him want to dreams again and realize that he can be loved and that there are still hope for him. 😊

There was a connection between Dutta and Naku, she fell in love with her rescuer and he could not put word on what he felt after meeting Naku, but he knew that there was something special about this girl.😊

There are some very cute scenes with Naku...she is day dreaming about Dutta and when she realize it is a dream and Dutta standing in front of her...the innocent and childish smile was cute. 😊

In the beginning it was a young girls crush...after Dutta revealed his past her love got deeper and stronger. If I was Naku's mom, I would be scared and worried of the way koel naku would talk and behave sometime. 😆

I also loved how strong Naku was in the beginning, saying things like they are, not being afraid of Dutta, her trust in Dutta...her connection with Dutta was powerful and deep. 😊

Then Dutta told Naku about his past and let Naku take a little control over what he should and should not do. Naku got "owner feel" over Dutta and she forgot that she do not have the right to decide Dutta's fate and that he is the only one who knows what is right for him and what he need.

Here I am talking about Naku pushing Dutta toward Supriya and hiding the true about Supriya.

Or maybe the reason is that she finally found someone who just saw her heart, look in to her eyes and respected her for who she is...she was allowed to see this powerful man's sensitive side, got to know how simple he is and that he needs to be saved from himself. She got so busy in her mission to bring Dutta peace and happiness that she forgot if he was ready for it or if the person she is bringing in to his life deserves him.

Koel Naku had a long journey and I can talk and talk and you all will get 🥱 so I decided that I would rather post some videos that show some of Naku's moments and tell her and Dutta's story. 😊

Some very funny thing about Naku was her slow walk, Dutta getting irritated, funny how in a serious scene a little humor like this was brought in.

If we talk about moment between Dutta and Nuku there are tons...the love they share was innocent and pure.

My one favorite scene between them two is this one.

I also love Naku's relationship with Serji and Babi...too much of Naku and Babi could be boring at times. But I love the way Babi could read her daughter and the way she was always there for Naku. 😊

In the end I would like to say that Naku stared as a character that was insecure but jet strong. She loved and trusted Dutta, but after Dutta revealed his past to her...Naku kind of lost her trust in him. She loved Dutta unconditionally, but her trust in him and his judgment was not strong enough. She thought she was protecting him with her lies... but she just ended up hurting him the most.

Also Naku started as a happy and full of life character, even though her smile hided her sadness...But...then what happen? 🤔

Life happen?

She just grow up?

Is it Dutta's foult that Naku lost herself?

Was it Mahi who lost her energi?

nice post ani, if it wassn't for nakku, AS won't have been able to sudharey duttaa's life it was going to be always kala's way or no way.😡

so as we all know dutta needed someone caring and loving in his life which he deserved as he himself was a golden hearrtrd person god sent nakku for him. she had seen a lot in her young life , for herself being employed in households where probably all sorts went on, so she understood hm and laid her life for him. akind loving caring daughter to even ganpatt. all the qualities in a good human being, but we loved her most forher unconditional love for dutta.

Ffirst of all thanks so much ani for taking out time from your busy schedule to start this thread ..as alway very well written and analyzed ..agree with u as soon as dutta entered her life she lost herself to him completely as if her life was meant for him..esply when he shared his past with her she became all the more devoted to him..thinking only abt his happiness even if it required sacrificing her own ..her heart was ruled by him while her mind by her mother..in a way all the important decisions of her life were taken by them instead of her..for this I would blame her n not others esply dutta coz he was always honest and straight forward with her..and if he expected the same from her then he shouldn't be blamed. ..she was the one who confused whether to listen to her mom or follow her heart..I also think when dutta was involved she would become fiercely protective and strong for him but lacked the same traits when she herself was in question ..
Very interesting scenes included ..I really liked the one where she teaches duji how to make karawnji..lol

she did very well but true is that people like mishal more than her but it didn't mean to disrespect her sorry for being little rude.

Talking about role of nakusha, a girl who is damn beautiful hides her face behind ugliness is difficult job and hear from everyone about her looks which are not real as every girl wants to be beautiful but she did this difficult job for her mum's and for her family safety.Yeah she is a girl who fall in love with dutta because he protect her from morey and moreover respect her and befriend with her despite of her ugliness or looks but always tied between her mum and heart.

Koel Naku as Baji so lovingly called her and as most of us began to luv her as well is far the better of the two Nakus IMO. She was most of the time in her sherni mode as Koel Naku. Layers of Naku's character as someone else put it was there from the beginning of LTL1, it just was not given a chance to grow as the show took on more of a hatred role between Kala and Dutta and anyone else who came into his life. Koel Naku's character traits lost most but not all of the sherni aspects when Gori Naku's character took over, Why the writers and CVs did this, I did not and still cannot understand as it took some of the initial essence of the storyline away. So much of her past and character traits were left unanswered. Since this thread is about Koel Naku, all in all, still luved Koel Naku for her wit, love and caring attitude towards her own Mahale family, Dutta, Baji, Kishore, AS and her respect for the 3 sisters knowing their devious nature.
