agreed! but after FR of naku the cracks were wide open for whatever reasons. Mahi's acting was mostly flash in the pan.never understood the logic of Dutta on fan heck the entire blind track😕, the point of yeh tera ghar mera ghar no one lived in..

and kala and dutta face off was so lame(damn! it could have been mindblowing)

this case i would have recommended a big AXE. they lost the grip on the story. Mostly Mishal's performance kept fans like me coming back.

after 28th march... the serial just Tanked..

Love reading your post and I agree with you...😊... I have not seen many shows and there are very few shows where a character has touch my hearth...Dutta is one. 😍

I think a show should not be dragged and there is also need for new thinking and more layer characters...not model actors who cannot act...great plot and a silver lining. When you get attach to a character and you feel you can relate to the character...the story should have a proper ending and the show should not be dragged.

I can understand playing a character 14 hours day...being someone else is hard...after a year you need to move on and the show need to end... if the actor want to try something new.

@ nimmi: as u said that there are various ways in which PH decides if there should be EX or AXE...but more often they opt for ex ...or even a leap..

I agree there should be a fixed time for shows...like pakistani show humsafar had fixed number of episodes no dragging no wastage of screen space by additional characters...and the script was adapted from a novel so creative side of it was half taken care off..

We did have this kind of shows earlier on...infact even in regional turf the shows are still based on stories by famous writers which mostly everyone knows and hence they don't play around in name of creatively..

a reason why shows like shivaji couldn't hold the audience...they lacked the respect thats due such kind of shows...authenticity and less dramatization..

I was watching 'The sword of Tippu Sultan'the other day...the show was shot on low budget had gastly costumes and simple sets...yet the scene where Hyder ali n his brother are hidden in maasive nagada while their father is killed was impactful...there is no proof in history that such thing happned but thye showed it to pike the audience and it worked...but they stayed true to the actually premise of history...

Bv is not the case of EX actually...and it took 3 trials before Ronit was accepted as MIhir and by that time his character was hardly needed much...

even when they have good storyline going they tend to stretch and ruin it...and when they have short notice they dally around with extra characters rather than focus on story...

Now sometimes i can't even remember what made Dutta especial as character his actions and reactions where not really that different...yet when i see a clip in UT..i realize it was not really the character as such it was the work of ppl behind dutta..the dialogues the direction the get up and yes most importantly the actor...

It was an love affair with that whole combination...aur yaaro aisa pyar zindagi mein ek baar aata hai...so kaise hum EX keh de usse jiske khamishiyon mein bhi hum gazal dhund lete the!

you remember that scene. it was fantastic. i still remember the way the soldiers beat the nagada and the kids inside it shiver closing their ears unable to bear the sound.

leap is not bad per se. i sort of liked kahani ghar ghar ki leap. even kyonki for that matter. BV is doing quite well. its when the story starts to drag and starts going in circle say like uttaran(eekkss) ladoos(can believe it is still on air) and some other SP shows... Axing option comes.

there were some real good series made. proper story, proper closure and fantastic cast... rishta.com, Mahi way, khote sikke, sarabhai vs sarabhai.

yeah. true.. i guess no one is comfertable getting out of their comfort zone. giving a proper closure to golden goose needs strength. but no they would rather strangle it.

no wonder more than a year passed by and i still could visualize each nuance, each dialogue and that towering personality with clarity. i guess i always would. forgetting is not an option here
