Epi 531: D-N Real Eternal Story (Friday)

The "story" or the progression of it was certainly decided much before Dutta entered - that he had to be a like this godfather to a particular settlement/area and powerful enough to rescue the damsel in distress. Again, the love story that was to be brewed between them needed conflict - which had to involve the entire "kala sach, safed jhoot" part of her life. It couldn't be as simple as it should have been. So it was pre-decided that this "don" would have some throbbing past that would interfere with the present relationship, in order to progress ahead with the story. I think the whole "brooding" phase began when his wedding preparations started and he was able to see that the woman 'chosen to marry him' was not entirely doing it out of her will. It kind of opened up the scars he had concealed within - or so, the show intended to convey. The boyish charm that he carried also had this dark side to him - where he doubted his own self and his own worth, which is where the 'female protagonist' stepped into his life, to show him the mirror in which he does not find himself as ugly as he thinks he is. The depth in the scenes, the character and the story came became more intense with time, because everything needs some time to become close to perfect. And of course to click as a team, each one was contributing their best and trying to understand their own characters better. Mishal did that too. The understanding and the slow opening up of the layers that Dutta Shiram Patil was made of, brought the much needed complexity to the story - albeit, subtle.

The progression, really, had nothing to do with recognizing Mishal's talent (because everyone already knew he was the perfect man to portray that array of facial expressions within a matter of seconds - the best part for anyone about having Mishal as a colleague would perhaps be that he is a very, very intelligent actor. He grasps things very quickly. Give him his brief, his lines for the day or shot and then just leave it to him). Of course, the ease with which he would become Dutta was a treat to watch since it would be difficult to distinguish that there was a Mishal in there. When on the floor, he was only Dutta, wrapped up with all the regalia that surrounded the character. He did work very hard for it - to convince the viewers that he was Dutta - that this was Dutta. And the fact that Dutta lives on even today (as does Naku), is because of that sincere hard work.

The overall story progression is planned much in advance (in most shows), however, the scenes and interactions between characters, in order to move towards the goal of culminating the track, are taken one episode at a time - scripts are written a few days in advance and run through the day before it actually has to be shot. So, it wouldn't be wrong to say that the 'depth' in the scenes was certainly worked upon and constantly improved. Since, we are speaking only about Dutta, a worthy mention would be that Mishal gave his 100% and a lot more in performing them to brilliance, leading from the front (very well supported by each character in the frame with him that made Dutta what he was/is/will be; this also applies to every other actor who played any other character in the show - the dedication from each one of them was earnest). The initial episodes did establish that Dutta was young, had a heart of his own and was loved by everyone. As time progressed and he began to come face to face with the prospect of living his life with a woman, who was hesitant and insincere in the relationship, the scars of the past began to reopen and we got to see him reliving that hurt and pain, thus calling for deeper scenes. I think I would go for the latter part of ur question as being 'true' in this case - as the actor gets more and more comfortable with the character and begins to live it and breathe it, he automatically surpasses his own best moments. Full marks. Complete credit. Hope that answers it for you.

awesome update BB...Balu dada stopping dutta from doing anything, i guess its onli becos he knws he can handle it in a much better way than duji cud...i mean duji in particular dutta loses der cool very quickly, while Balu knws he 2 press the buttons properly...he's gt it al planned n hence doesnt need dutta worrying 4 him, bt obv dutta acting as rooti hui biwi cos balu nt letting him in2 the plan... bt m sure balu wil explain y he wnts 2 keep dutta away from this mess... 1 wrong move 4rm dutta cud land him in2 jail agen n thts wt abhijay is w8in 4, an opportunity 2 gt dutta bk in jail cos thts wer he believes his tru place is.

Coming to the webisode...so Nave and ASD have a past enemity and Nave is already quaking by hearing his voice. Looks like Balu told Abhi the whole story. Meanwhile Naku takes full advantage of the situation and gets Dutta to sing for her. 😍

Fantastic interaction between Baludada & Abhi. Worth watching on screen. He will help Abhi to settle his scores with Nave. Baludada doesn't want Datta & Baji to even come & meet them He is capable of giving momentumto many things just sitting inside. Tejas & Roops will form a good pair. Precap is very exciting. Eagerly waiting for the next epi.
