Also they ( spk from US perspective only) are more interested in Cash than houses or other property. If you are a part of a family business and have doc to prove that you need to come back to India that also helps.

now a days... they check only bank accounts and IT return... No property etc...

I know re... VFS is handling since last 8-9 years... earlier it was for UK and EC...
I think by 2005 they had also expanded to Canada...
VFS ppl are just an agency... Visa Facilitation Center.
They just handle application and fees etc... actual work is still at HC or embassy... whatever is in your city... Hopefully we shall be applying for same service within a year or two... 😃

Since Last financial year, the RBI has also FOREX limit that can be sent abroad for educational purpose. 2009-2010 it was $100,000 USD per year
