Angad Hasija may soon join Sara Khan on Ram Milaayi Jodi, if all goes as planned. The two actors will have sort of a reunion as they will share screen space for the first
time in a year since their first outing post Bidaai (a show they debuted in). While Sara already plays the female lead on RMJ, Angad has been roped in to initially play a pivotal role. Apparently, the show's original lead Nishant Malkani was replaced by newbie Sujoy Reu and regular viewers didn't take kindly to the change. TRPs kept plummeting. If things work out, Angad's character might just replace Sujoy as the lead in the course of time, as the Angad-Sara chemistry is far stronger. To those who remember them fondly as Alekh and Sadhna, this will come as happy news. The two turned out to be one of the small screen's most loved jodis over the course of Bidaai's run. In an obvious attempt to cash in on the popularity of this reellife couple, the channel that airs Ram Milaayi Jodi apparently had also approached known faces like Mishal Raheja, Gurmeet Chaudhary and Mohit Sehgal for the role.
A source informs, "Angad's role will bring a lot of twists and turns around him. His character will be introduced as having some connection to Krittika Desai (she plays Sujoy's mom) in the show. Sara's extremely kicked too and she thinks Angad's inclusion in the cast will work wonders for the show." Angad remained unavailable for comment.
