Yes, Elysia... it is very intriguing that how much we love him despite all that blood on his hands... I don't think we can say he did "ladkyon ka dhanda" as he mentioned how he obeyed the orders of his boss without any question... of course had Baji not dropped that carton, he would have packed off 8 more girls to an unknown world (read: hell)... But yes, technically, he killed people for money and did so many things which, morally, ethically and humanly, none of us approve... So, then, why do we love him so much??? 😳

Dutta so clear on his usool .. his principles ,,he had the guts , was brave enough to fight for his principles and then with 2 of them ( he and baaji) took care of Kasat and that again was just the beginning ,destroying all those that were harrasing the weak and poor ,, Dutta would destroy them. that seems to be his mission ,, and then Nana saheb gving his approval and dhandha ..was like omg omg

Dutta givng the money to Prakash to send the girls back to their house ,, again shows his care for the weak /poor / besahara

Truly this insight of this individual makes him more lovable / too good to be true

**Editied apart for his past ,, Nakkus silience to encourage him to purge his past demons ,, is so amazing ,,her silence spoke soo much and Dutyta UNDEERTANDS her silence , his trust and faith by sharing his innermost fears and past ... was amazing

We love him because he's Dutta. I don't think that I would've loved this character so unconditionally, had it not been for Mishal's portrayal of him and the way he added such powerful human emotions to his character. Turning it from a typical gangster-ish man to a multidimensional man with intense human conditions that I could always relate to in one sense or another. His loneliness, vulnerability, his small habits (like falling asleep within seconds out of mental exhaustion), his strength yet self-doubts, his honesty, his pure-hearted honesty, his self-hatred, his despair, his trust-issues, even his hopes for happiness, eveything - it all makes him Dutta, the gangster, the lover, the brother, the son, the protector, the danger, the darkness, the light...

I could go on.

But in the end, I fell for the remorse in his eyes, in his voice when he told Naku his story following the Supriya-mangalsutr incident. The remorse, the pain, the self-loathing, it all made me believe that he deserved to be redeemed simply because he had a pure heart. Because he wanted to do right and tried not to do wrong.

But why do we justify it when he does something wrong in the name of right? Like slitting people's throats, snapping their necks, or even pushing Naku around when he's hurt by her?

I don't know. I just know I never blamed him and always loved him. I'm like one of these domestic violence victims who, despite being beaten by her husband every day, sticks with him. Lol 😆 Only Dutta is nowhere near those abusive jerks. He's a HERO.
