Nice thread, Zuby. I hope that you don't mind me breaking the rules a bit and add what non-Bollywood role I'd like to see Mishal in. I know that he has his eyes set on B-wood, but I don't find any B-wood movies worthy of his talent as of now. Very few directors, or should I say writers, create unique and substantial roles in the industry nowadays - in my personal opinion - and bagging such roles is even harder for a newcomer in that place. I don't feel that comedy roles or such would do justice to his skills - although it would be interesting to see him as a comedian at some point. But I'm more interested in seeing him in conflicted and substantial roles that challenge his skills to the absolute extreme.
I want to see him in all kinds of dark and lighter roles. But one role that I would have loved to see him in - especially - is as the male lead on a Hollywood show from the 90s. It was the first actual vampire series based on a dark character named Angel that had been cursed with a soul for having tortured and murdered millions of innocents across centuries. Once he was given his soul, he started to feel pain and remorse for what he had done and couldn't live with himself. His self-hatred and pain drove him to wander down the path of redemption and he started to fight the forces of the dark, saving the humans that he once killed mercilessly. The reason I'd love to see Mishal in the role of this character is because 1) he reminds me of Dutta and 2) he's a conflicted character with a dark side. He was known as the beast that terrorized the world with his mate for centuries until he was cursed. But the most interesting part is that the curse also included that he would never be able to feel true happiness or he would lose his soul and go dark-side again. Something that he did not want to happen once he had his soul. Thus he was destined to be alone and never feel loved, but hopefully be redeemed as he saved human lives. However, he did find love and lost it.Here is a picture of Angel/Angelus:But anyways. This is the kind of roles that I want to see Mishal in. Not necessarily a paranormal one, but just something along the lines of a conflicted character with a dark side. I'd even love to see him as a villanous character, but with shades of white and gray. However, I know that in this industry one has to be really careful with what kind of roles one chooses as it can label you. Especially villanous, chocolate boy, and comedian roles. Dutta was a mix of everything, I feel.If I have to mention a B-wood movie though, then I'll mention the one my sister actually suggested: Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.

😃 Hi Zuby!
Great topic. I think given MR's talent he would give the current crop of heroes a run for their money, just for his versatality. He would have been great as Sid in "Wake up Sid"...............Arvind Swamy............in "Bombay" and "Roja"the famous "mere paas maa hai" wala amitabh in "Deewar".....and the list goes on.....................i am saying such varied roles just to prove my point reg his versatality. But one holywood movie that immed comes to my mind..........Tom Cruise in "Jerry Maguire", am sure u have seen it................the line that so fits him to the t, is in it.............when Tom comes back to renee zellweger in the end and tries to explain that life is nothing without her..................she just casually sshss him and says............"You had me at hello".....................................is there anyone who can do that to us in just a "hello" other than MR...........
and my personal fav would be to see him as Mr.Bond..........sophistication, class, killer eyes, silent assassin...........do i need to say more...............he doesn't need to try hard to make girls go week in the knees does he....
ooopsss i forgot that part!!! but thenagain, Dutta anyway man of few words na😃 like many has mention jodha-akbar too would be a treat to watch😍Originally posted by: ZubyDutta
Phir MR ki lovely lovely voice kaise sunenge? But good choice.😳
I think you mean the The Thomas Crown Affair.Wow! Manju, the movies you are coming up with!😍 You are right MR has the suave, classy side to him just like Brosnan. All three roles of Bond, Steele & the the Art Theif would suit him immensely😳Originally posted by: mozart66
Darling Viji, tune toh meri man ki baat keh di!!! I have been thinking a lot like this! I agree wholeheartedly with your choice of Hollywood movie Jerry McGuire!!! It fits him to a T and so does Mr. Bond!!! Another famous character that comes to my mind is one from a Pierce Brosnan movie (forgot the name) where he steals a very priceless antique picture from an art gallery! The sauve, classy thief looked every bit adorable! Remington Steele, the investigator, played by Pierce Brosnan is another character that suits him to the T!! May be I am more fond of Pierce Brosnan movies or his work, but the fact is that MR also has similar attributes that makes it inevitable for me to compare!

My choice is actually a Tamil Movie - called Mouna Raagam - it had Mohan and Revathy in it, brilliant movie, cause the husband is actually very caring and loving and the wife is rebel. Have not seen this side of Mishal, so would love to see him in that role!
