I also wonder how would it be if MR played an "obsessive" role with a gray shade, like SRK's Baazigar and Darr 😉. I think he would do wonderful as an obsessed and passionate lover who is ready to go to any DARK extent for his love! Just imagine him looking at his girl with so much of intensity in his eyes and telling her "Tum sirf meri ho!" 😍

Mono-expression characters, mono-expression actor! Just wanted to highlight the differences between the two to make a point that throw any role at MR and it will turn into a memorable role for sure! He is a complete ACTOR before saying that he is a STAR material!

I totally agree with you...Mishal R. can play any character and leave you speechless.😛

Vivek Oberoi's attempt to woo the medical student and face the problems of a young couple in a marriage- Saathiya 😍
SRK in Pardes, specifically the climax scene where all the anger and love just spills in front of Amrish Puri '....pyar karna he, toh he!' So much power in those dialogues, the emotion conveyed by SRK with his eyes, would be done brilliantly by MR and add in the action sequences 😍
Maddy in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein- something about that character, cheeky guy but utterly in love, lied to get his love and then heartbroken when the girl gets to know the truth 😍

Nice thread, Zuby. I hope that you don't mind me breaking the rules a bit and add what non-Bollywood role I'd like to see Mishal in. I know that he has his eyes set on B-wood, but I don't find any B-wood movies worthy of his talent as of now. Very few directors, or should I say writers, create unique and substantial roles in the industry nowadays - in my personal opinion - and bagging such roles is even harder for a newcomer in that place. I don't feel that comedy roles or such would do justice to his skills - although it would be interesting to see him as a comedian at some point. But I'm more interested in seeing him in conflicted and substantial roles that challenge his skills to the absolute extreme.

I want to see him in all kinds of dark and lighter roles. But one role that I would have loved to see him in - especially - is as the male lead on a Hollywood show from the 90s. It was the first actual vampire series based on a dark character named Angel that had been cursed with a soul for having tortured and murdered millions of innocents across centuries. Once he was given his soul, he started to feel pain and remorse for what he had done and couldn't live with himself. His self-hatred and pain drove him to wander down the path of redemption and he started to fight the forces of the dark, saving the humans that he once killed mercilessly.

The reason I'd love to see Mishal in the role of this character is because 1) he reminds me of Dutta and 2) he's a conflicted character with a dark side. He was known as the beast that terrorized the world with his mate for centuries until he was cursed. But the most interesting part is that the curse also included that he would never be able to feel true happiness or he would lose his soul and go dark-side again. Something that he did not want to happen once he had his soul.

Thus he was destined to be alone and never feel loved, but hopefully be redeemed as he saved human lives. However, he did find love and lost it.

But anyways. This is the kind of roles that I want to see Mishal in. Not necessarily a paranormal one, but just something along the lines of a conflicted character with a dark side. I'd even love to see him as a villanous character, but with shades of white and gray. However, I know that in this industry one has to be really careful with what kind of roles one chooses as it can label you. Especially villanous, chocolate boy, and comedian roles. Dutta was a mix of everything, I feel.

If I have to mention a B-wood movie though, then I'll mention the one my sister actually suggested: Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.

what about Agnipath of AB, waise bhi Karan Johar is plannig to remake it soon. or Amir Khan Gajni sanjay singhania wah wah and yes meri jang and Jodah Akbar are also good choice.

but i wish someone make a special character of a huge suphisticated buisns tycon or some political leader for MR

I would love to see him do a role like Anil Kapoor's in the movie Eshwar/ or Anil kapoor's role in Yuvraj(nt seen the movie bt apparently his role was similar 2 his role in eshwar...correct me if m wrong) anyway im sure evry1 wil agree tht this wud b a challenge n very unlike ne role he has played! i wud love 2 c him do a role like this 1 for sure...

I would love to see MR in a maniratnam movie, the recent one I saw was Ravanan, I have not seen the hindi version with Abhishek in it,I saw the tamil version with Vikram(he is another wonderful actor in the south) and am sure MR would fit perfectly in that role.

Someone already suggested Saathiya, which was Alaypayuthey(Madhavan's role) ..........I think Dhayavan was Nayagan(Kamal hassan's role), Mouna raagam (Mohan's role) was suggested, all maniratnam movie.........Would like to add Agni Natchathiram (am not sure if a hindi version exists), here karthik portrays the role of an angry young man, who hates his step brother..........Thalapathi , story of 2 friends..... to the list. So am thinking based on the suggestions, MR would be the perfect actor to work with him.

I would also love to see him in a role similar to Neal Caffrey of White Collar. Neal is a con artist and the worlds best Forgerer. But he is very Sophisticated, Classy and Charming, a smooth talker, and he works in conjuction with a very hard working and by the book FBI agent , Peter Burke.

Am sure MR would do justice to any role he undertakes......just don't want him to do typical masala movie,would like him to see do something Hatke...... would'nt mind if it is a negative role or role with some grey shades to it.........

Sorry I cannot part with My fav Aamir Khan's Films ., though I agree he would be good in a few of them .

but my choice is thoda hatke without dhisum dhisum. that is Junglee (Shammi Kapoor) 😉. in this role gussa hai, akdupan hai, aristocracy hai, pagalpan hai. 😊

& also I would prefer to see him in any role played by Uttam Kumar.
