For the last few months LTL has been doing better than all the other Colors soaps! Even two weeks back (which was technically Dutta's last week) LTL was at no.5...and Uttaran at no.3! A drop from no.5 to no.20 all in 2 weeks' time(Uttaran though is doing well) will definitely be noticed, regardless of whatever effect IPL might be having on hindi soaps.

And then there are the GEC ratings...the one for the Hindi-speaking regions! LTL has been doing tremendously well there too! In Dutta's last week, LTL was at no.2....but this week it's out of the chart! It's remarkable...

I was just going through the old TAM ratings and the last time the ratings were below 3 was on November 4 during that Ganesh/ DP track. LTL has been doing so well in 2011, so this is for sure a big failure and they deserve it.

And yes, the show has been doing amazingly well in this year having been #1 many times too so this is obviously a steep drop from all that.....the numbers are speaking for themselves.

But why were the ratings that low during the DP track? I thought that the DP track was one of the best in LTL. I mean, it was poorly executed at times, but the concept and scenes between Dutta and his father (and just Dutta in tension) were awesome.

I also thought the track had some great scenes....but in general they did drag it a lot especially in the phase of the Ganesh Visarjan when DP was just about to enter the show and then they didn't show any DN interaction for like a whole 2 weeks or so and had a lot of random filler scenes......it got better when Dutta found out that DP is his father.....that point onwards the scenes were great too......but overall the audience got put off with the dragfest around the ganesh visarjan cuz there were a lot of rumors also floating around about Nakku's FR happening then but that didn't happen either so maybe the audience was disappointed.

Ekta was practical, she got Mihir back, even Smriti was brought back, she would do everything to save her shows, but here everything is reverse, I think nobody at colors wants to take responsibality & they have given free hand to this person, now sponserers of this show should be concerned about the ratings, may be that can put some sense in their head.

Ratings of Uttaran have been similar in the past few weeks same goes Ladoo and BV and other Colors shows. Only LTL has tanked. Btw this particular week there was no cricket except for weekend.
