Pooja, as you said we are representatives of crores!! Today Indian politician got away with crores of monies worth scam until on 5th of April one old man of 73 stood up and said bahut ho gaya....millions have joined to say the same thing making the government think and take notice.
This forum or forum like this represents voice of the audience, as you said we repesent various sections of the society, yes we are 200 maybe (how good is his maths I don't know) but each one of us represent atleast 100 people out there, when we are saying bring a logical end, show something to cherish, we think we know what we want, it doesn't matter if you are a housewife...you exactly know what your family wants from you, I go to office, I know what my colleagues expect from me...in a story it is fun to give twists and turns but give atleast that much only which is enjoyable....
We maybe 200 but we are not mere 200! Love Tin

Hi Pooja,
Agreed with your post, we 200 represent a more diverse group of people and are not alone.
Everything starts small......so am sure now our mere 200 has influenced more that 200,000 .....and the chain continues...... so he will realize the power of the 200 in a few more weeks Max....

Great Post Pooja!
Without the need to sound patronizing here, I laugh at Colors and its bad attitude!
They say 200 people????
It took just 1 man - Mahatma Gandhi to shake up the British empire and here we are 200 people with the same fire and voice...democracy is not a joke.
So I say, let them live in their dreamworld, we will win and if the show does not shut shop - then they will be forced to bring back MR - who knows he may not even come back and I honestly will be happy for Colors and their bad decisions.

Nice one Pooja. It is great that we find another thread to continue the debate that Kshreya initiated with her thread on the TRP yesterday.

Mr Pranjal Saxena or whoever feels the need to pose as one of the most outspoken creative supervision head of Indian TV to date may never have heard of selective sampling, a scientific tool used by organisations, governmental or non-governmental (businesses and the Media industry in particular) to gauge the pulse of the population/audience when it comes to policy decisions and the orientations of their shows. He/She would have otherwise refrained from even touching the issue with a barge pole. I wonder whether his bosses at the Channel have given him such leeway to take on even the smallest group of followers of our defunct LTL to do propaganda for PSLTL.

Indeed, I find it shocking and very disappointing that a member of one of the medium to show the way forward when it comes to basic decorum as they are dealing with the populace direct, takes such liberties. I will put it down to total disregard/disrespect for the very audience that ensures his generous pay packet at the end of every month. Why is it that we never, ever, hear any other Creative head of the same channel or other channels take on such acrimonious stands on a regular basis. Should we the 200 members who, I dare say, may be the most representative selective sample of viewers in terms of interest/profession/occupation/age group/cross-cultural/national/international, be of no consequence, why does Mr Saxena need to harp on the fact that Mishal's exit does not matter. Words deceive at leisure, Mr Saxena, figure never do. And it is not us the 200 odd members of LTL that brought down the TRP in its first week post MR's exit but rather those crores you refer to. Those very crores you refer to are but an extension of the 200 and the other thousands silent readers who do not have the time or the inclination to comment on a show.

As a member of the creative fraternity of the TV industry in India, you should have appreciated the invaluable support system that our forum and others like us had provided and given the stature that the original LTL enjoyed for more than year in the top slots. I am also going to make a very humble request to you and ask you to look more closely at the different element s that define the algorithm that are accounted for in calculating the TRP of a show. They are, respectively, audience analysis (in which you failed at the first hurdle), demographics, social/economic context amongst the most important. As far as I know Colors is a paid channel in India, how do you intend to reach all those reclusive spots where you will find the crores watching your show when getting a proper transmission of even National Indian TV is still a major achievement? And this comment is not at all meant to be prejudicial but to be taken in context as the majority of your paying audience come from a segment of the population in India and overseas that can afford to pay extra to watch Colors or other GECs.

You may have forgotten that fact. Your bosses at Colors will not ignore it.

Very sincerely

Kavita😊

Well said Kavita!!! Every word of yours needs to be read by the concerned "creatives". But alas, if that had happened then we wouldn't have been discussing such disgusting issue instead would be discussing our fav TaSha. But as they say "vinash kale viparit buddhi" and that's what is happening at the channel. Seems to me that the channel is hell bent on not reading the statistics properly which is screaming the whole story to the channel! Agreed that statistics lies! It can be manipulated! But what about the content? The quality? The treatment? The decorum? I guess these words don't exist in the dictionary of these "elite" people at all. These words are left for us poor 200 mortals to decipher and perceive the way we want! How generous of the channel to allow us this freedom of deciphering the content of a show! Well 200 folks it is indeed the time to show them just that!

Kavita, on this note let me add that yes I got colors to watch LTL but since I am not ready to accept the new twist I will disconnect Colors, LTL being the only serial I watched in it. Here let me add another thing, I am unhappy over MR's departure only because I thought the story could have brought to an amicable end, for me MR has done his bit and if he wants to explore greener pastures he has all right to do so, I would have also appreciated the present twist if the story needed it....according to me as a story writer (though an amature one) this twist was not needed....loved Tin

What they fail to realise is...we did not watch LTL, b'coz we were at the forum, but we were at the forum, b'coz we watched LTL...

We are viewers like all others from the crores who watched LTL, for it's unique essence....the only difference is that we have found a platform here at IF to share our POVs with others, many did not...

They should have realised that we 200 people, do represent the POVs of many other viewers and they could have used this for improving their show. We are the people from whom they are getting direct feedback of their shows!!! They are not going to the crores of viewers for their feedback.......But unfortunately, the colors have started thinking themselves above it's veiwers...and have made the viewers their enemy....such attitude can only lead to downfall...

we maybe 200 people , but we are 200 people from different countries and different walks of life and If we are all telling you the same thing then we must be representing the majority, otherwise your Trps would not have dropped and your show would not have been out of the TAM top 10 rankings. As far as the majority liking this Aadesh guy just go and look at his official fan page, people only sign up so they can tell him to leave the show and express their love for MISHAL . 😊

LTL on IF, is one of the most active forums and the best place to feel the pulse of the viewers. The entertainment industry is not my forte but even i believe that social network places would be the most efficient and economic sources of collecting consumer data/feedback.

LTL is Tasha's love story and the USP of the show was MR. At the end of the day..it just boils down to personal issues and ego of the "colorful and creatives". The cliche' "cut your nose to spite your face" has never been so appropriate.
