I actually think that Suds' plan is more likable to succeed at this point than Kala's. The problem is that Kala is overconfident. Extremely overconfident right now. Which is why she was shaken to her core when the smugglers refused to accept her on Dutta's satta. She had no control over that situation and even when she tried to manipulate them, she ended up backing herself into a corner - spotlight on her.
The smugglers weren't stupid. Not only did she put the thought in their minds that she might have been the reason for Dutta's disappearance - Baji's words about her being Dutta's stepsister and their fathers having been at odds with each other, this only added to the smugglers' doubts. They might no have said anything then and there, but these people are extremely smart. They know how things are when it comes to power and underworld politics.
They might not point at Kala as the red-handed culprit, but they're not trusting her either.
Suds knows a bit more about the dhanda than Kala, I'd say. But she's not giving him much credit. She's clearly underestimating him (if one can ever underestimate an ullu). But get me right, she's so overconfident right now that she believes she can control everything with her manipulative skills.
However, as much as a femme fatale can seduce and lead men to their doom - Kala, like any normal human being, has weaknesses. This siren's fall is going to be worth watching.
Returning to the point - Suds' plan about finding and killing Dutta is the smartest plan I've heard since Kala let DN skip into the jungle to romance.
