Somehow that mandir scene back in april last year and the speech he made at the hospital last feb has stayed in my mind marking him as the king...a shahensha...i want him to take his queen back and win his sultanat and kingdom and stay there...in PN..forever begetting their heir and spares..

Most likely they will go the way you want Shilpita. In serials the hero NEVER remains poor.

Hmm, that was Thursday's episode right...when all he said was thanks to Mahadev for appreciating their change in clothing...I'm a little sieve-like memory wise at the moment but from what I can remember, yesterday's episode didn't have any special DN moments either...it was just setting up the household idhar se udhar...so he justifiably didn't have much to say to the strangers and Nakku ke saath he didn't get any time...but yeah definitely, his silence is always pronounced and more so yesterday because things are at such a stage too, na? Like how he acted upon receiving the medicine...I thought that was so interesting because he didn't give much away verbally or facially yet there was clearly something going on there, like the invisible elephant in the room...MR has this funny ability to do that, to convey underlying emotions or restlessness even when the character is completely static apparently...

Ahh finally found a good print video to watch the bit when D opens his eyes after the medicine.....really sweet bit indeed......MR did it brilliantly....Nakku's eager hopeful, "Main dikhaayi de rahi hoon?" and the way he nods and goes, "Har jagah....har waqt....tujhe dekhne ke liye mujhe aankhon ki zaroorat nahin hai, Nakku"....awwwww.......loved the way he enacted the rest of it also.....so natural the way he said, "waise dard thoda kam ho gaya hai"....oh MR why so amazing? *sigh*.....lol

I think that was one of the most beautiful things that I found about the episode today...how Dutta was just talking and quipping in such a casual manner...that dard bit was delivered so off-handedly, almost like an after thought, yet it clearly meant much more...and then the other one that I LOVED, the one that Neets pointed out: Dutta mentioning Mahadev's medicine and 'azmaa'-ing it as he was putting it on Nakku's feet...he said it so casually that it felt like an intrinsic statement that he was voicing out loud in the moment without any thought or intention...if you think about it, that's so unguarded and intimate in a way...and they manage to reveal character psychology so subtly too at the same time...how Dutta is trying not to hope too much, yet there's still that element of imminence in the way he mentions the pain lessening or the medicine being tested...

Maybe it's just me reading too much into passing dialogues or inferring from the perspective and mindset that I was watching the episode at the time but somehow with LTL it's these SMALLEST of things that mean so much which make me adore it's simplicity and effectiveness at the same time...

DN scenes can't ever bore me but they need to make it more meaningful!!I agree with some here that they should be shown discussing how they will get to PN and how they will tackle the situation...Or maybe they could discuss something of Naku's life..When D said something abt "Ek doosre ko samajhna", i thought may be there could be some discussion on N's past..Ummm...On second thoughts, may be that would digress the story from its current plot..don't know..But i always wanted some nice convo where D quizzes N abt her past and all..And yes totally agree that D needsto get his eyesight soon!!Bahut ho gaya!!
As for Baji, why cant they show him doing something meaningful??There should be some discussion btw Kishore-Baji wondering abt D's plans and how he'll manage with his blindness..Yes Baji has faith in Naku but Naku is not Bruce lee..she can't fight all of D's enemies. D will obviously need some help, given his blindness...I mean if he can't reach Tasha, then they should atleast show him trying to thwart Kala's plans at PN..How can he be so unaware of the smugglers meet or Seema..Kuch to Karo baji..he was not right hand man of Dutta for nothing!!
Am i the only one- i found the raja-rani dialogue rather childish:)

In bold: Totally agree! This is the right time for Dutta and Naku to talk about Naku. They can if they want touch Naku's issues later in detail...but the husband and wife must have a chat and Naku must tell Dutta abt herself...and her feelings before their wedding no. 1.

Dutta is NOT going to plan or do anything unless he gets his eyesight back! That I am sure of. Am just enjoying these talks between them because we might not see them like this again. We will have Kala-Dutta battle, and then all the PN wasis will come in with their own set of problems and scenes! And then there is Seema...too

LTL was dragged from January till last week with Seema and Nakku alone! Almost Two months...Now Tasha have been together from last week Tuesday only..From Feb 2010, this love story has been developed to culminate now!.Considering that...This is not much of a drag...

I understand what you feel though...the sight of the ever strong Dutta being helpless gets to me too...Here and there....If he had his eyesight, the Tasha scenes would have been different and the way they play out would be better too...JMM1 was dragged but we did not feel it!

So I think the common thing that we both agree on is that...Dutta better get his eyesight back soon!

WORD!!!

..now they need to move forward and stop repeatedly talking about wohi 2-3 baatein.

Waise I haven't seen today's epi....so can't say anything about those scenes....I'm talking about the past couple of days.
@bold: You see! THOSE are the little little things that are just soooooooo depressing to watch.....even if he's talking to Nakku and saying nice 'romantic' things to her....kya faayda....his blindness hangs over everything so gloomily
..Yes even a small convo btw them on how they would tackle Kala situation would have made all the difference, given the current fugitive situation they r in..
But apart from that, i don't think DN screen time has been all that repetitive...After they escaped, we had a couple of good episodes on them-the water scene and the one where she tells him all abt kala..Then yest, they gave a closure to that earlier scene where N says she won't enter Ds room..And now we have the jadibooti..so its not such a drag...Its just the blindness that is making yu feel so...and when they show D making tea in this condition, just accentuates his condition i guess
I think Naku and Dutta should also talk abt Kala's kartootein from the start ie her hand in Supriya running away. and also Rups and Leela's involvement.

I agree with you....and I think in some cases, it's about the connect of the moment too....last two days I wasn't feeling it much but today was beautiful to me as well.....today's DN scenes had that trademark essence of DN with some food for thought convo, the simplicity, the innocence, a bit of a teasing edge to Dutta in some bits, the smile, the haq. Very natural and simple scenes today.....there was a sweetness in all the small gestures....Nakku's hope and eagerness while asking him if he could see her, a new sort of patience, a bit of a smile from Dutta....the bit where he firmly tells her to come and sit....the way he held her feet.....everything just flowed naturally.....even the DN feeding scene....no dialogues but such a sweet and simple bit.....I won't even mention my usual complaint about the blindness bugging me for a bit......I'll lay off the whining for now😆

Niki, I think that's quite unfair to say, no? 😊 Some of us downright adore AG's fantastic portrayal of such a layered character and all the screenspace she is given is fully utilized and actually crucial to build the story. I will entirely disagree with you that the scenes are repetitive...she was shown coercing Seema twice this week...that was needed to drive home the brain-washing. She had a scene with Baaji and Kishore, that was not repetitive at all, IMO...it was actually the MOST powerful scene the whole week dialogues and symbolism wise. Today she had two scenes with Suds and both of them brought out something new to the table re: the new ET which is very important to further the story.

So I know that while many of you guys get frustrated with the split screenspace, it is needed and MORE than done justice to...plus, if DN are to have this 'calm' phase that most people are enjoying, it means that there has to be track movement on another end in the meanwhile, right? And that's what the Kala/Suds/Chaskar/Seema scenes are for...if we don't have scenes with them to forward the story then the whole track will be in a deadlock, there will be nothing to show.

We're waiting for a Duji reunion an' all! Mahadev is coming along to be a little clingy, jumping onto Dutta to hug him! But it's all good, Dutta has now made a friend very quickly 😆 Hmmm......Kala and Suds, they are boring me now....Kala's makeup is HORRIBLE....what is up with that disgusting lipstick of hers? Seriously needs a change....Suds is VERY frustrated.....desperate enough to phone up Chaskar who was as usual mindblowingly funny! Chaskar's line : Office khol ka batha ma Municipal Board ka, teri toh koi izzat nahi!' and 'dance kar uska saath, bai ka chamcha!' I mean seriously, aaj itna meetha meetha bol raha tha naa Chaskar ka saath! Bechara! And Kala full on aware of his haalat, called him a dog by saying 'dom halaka.' At least it clicked for Suds that a blind Dutta was able to run away! Wohi toh hum sab kehra tha itni dar sa! Kala basti pa basti karti rehti ha Suds ki.....

Finally someone else apart from me who didnt like Kala makeup!

Watching that scene where Naku was applying the jaari bootiyan paste on Dutta's eyes and seeing the contentment on Dutta's face and comfort factor between them was just lovely! I had to twist my head around to capture a smiling Dutta as Naku walked off to cook food 😆 What was so good about the scene, was the fact it reminded me of only NAKU having that right to care for Dutta.....with Seema, there was such an uneasiness....with Naku, he was just cherishing her touch.....😳 I loved how Dutta said he doesn't need eyes to see Naku. He is truly relying on his imagination to 'see' Naku....I don't know about you guys, but the Tasha scenes were just something else....Dutta stole the show with his voice....something strangely alluring...a calmed voice but with so much love and at the same time sexiness....can't quite describe it....and the way he told her to come and sit down...damnnn.....that haq jathoying Dutta only for Naku is what I ABSOLUTELY love! And those lines about how a wife can keep a fast, 'bhatak' for her husband, stay hungry and not say 'uff' when hurt, but a husband can't put ointment on her feet just lovely 😍 And I was hoping Dutta would apply ointment of some sort on Naku's feet after the reunion (as her feet were bleeding). Better late than never!
Oh yes...many times I had wished Dutta would get out his 'me, my pain' jaap and show some care and concern towards Naku. Finally we get that!
Gosh Dutta us pinning his hopes on the jaari booti! But I think he's being a tinsy winsy cautious, because they way he said that 'Mahadev na kaha tha' and 'azma lata ha' felt as if he wasn't ENTIRELY going to let slip he was hoping it would do the trick- akru kahinka! Being sly....such a guy thing for him to not openly be optimistic, but at least he's trying it! Desperate times....Dutta is appearing slightly solemn......but when someone is BLIND and relying on a medicine that seems to be the final hope in terms of circumstances and where they are, than it's a little difficult to be cheery. And what a cheeky smile when Naku gave him water!

So Kala has decided to take over officially and get all Dutta's associates/friends together to declare it.....someone please get Dutta back to PN...the whole thing is just becoming annoying....
Exactly! The whole thing is annoying. They expect us to believe that rich and powerful men who have women at their disposal(sorry to put it crudely but its true) will be fascinated by the brains and beauty of Dutta's Tai and eat out her hands? I think this would have been a perfect time to introduce a powrful rival of Dutta's like Anna who would attempt to take over Patilwadi. That would give Kala a reality check.

Forgot to mention: How sweet was it that Dutta lied about his sight in the instant moment after opening his eyes when Nakku questioned him? 😊 There was such patience on his face, even a faint smile...he handled it so maturely...it made me a little more patient about the eyesight too (:

But she called him back alright...as firstly she needs him and secondly she needs an audience to witness her greatness with both her sisters locked up she only has Suds.
