Roops left…Ayi Sahib went towards the bed to lie down….as she pulled the bedcover she thought about Naku…inspite of so much hardships the girl does not want to get married to Datta or anybody for that matter…she is not swayed by Dutta's power or richness as normally a girl of her background would be….Bappa sath dena…

Naku crept out of the room, it was still dark but then she had to leave early and more so before her parents get up….she little money she had will see that she reaches her work place…

There were faint noises, servants were getting up, Naku kept in the shadows and ran towards the gate hoping there won't be any restrictions in going out of the house, making as less noise as possible she ran looking behind from time to time, when she collided with a hard form….

Babi got up with a start…the bed next to her was empty….Oh my god…Naku….she pushed her husband….where is Naku she asked….

Mujhe kya maloom ..bhag gayi hogi…teri beti hai..mujhe sukh se rehne degi thori…Ganpat fumed….

Naku stifled her scream as a tough hand grabbed her neck, she a metal touching her forehead…hearing her sound, he whispered ladki? Guards torch he shouted ..Naku squinted her eyes as the torch came on…..Tu?

Naku squinted to see a fearsome eyes glaring at her…..

I err I am going back…..

Hmm and where are your parents…..he pushed her back, she noticed he was wearing a track pant and t-shirt

They will come later…Nakusha replied as calmly as possible…hoping he did not get to see she was frightened on being caught red handed….

Listen go back to room and be with your parents….

I need to go now…Nakusha replied…..

Yes you will go when you have their permission and not without informing them…..

What makes you think I am running away….

Well I am not thinking as I know…..he started spot jogging, go back to your room and nobody leaves this house without our permission….he jogged away….

You do not know what you are getting into, it would be better for you if you will let me go now…Nakusha said behind his back as he jogged away….

He did not reply….he carried on with his workouts….

Go back to the house, we cannot let you go without his permission, you will be wasting your time trying to do so….the guard whispered, he has said what he has said and I have to switch off the torch now for security reasons, so go back and do not collide with him again, be careful…….

After another hour of workout inside the Gym when he came out crossing the hall, his sister Kalavati pulled him aside to the small sitting room she had attached with her bedroom…Dutta gave an uneasy glance towards his brother in law Kishore who was in his towel doing arati and reciting mantra standing in front of the little mandir in the corner, Kishore nodded at him, Kalavati grabbed him….Bhau idhar dekh, idhar dekh…I gather Ayi has already spoken to you…tu ne Ayi se kya kaha, you cannot agree can you?

Tai, what are you getting at mujhe samajne me nehi a raha hai….

Oh Bhau stop pretending being dumb…you cannot marry that girl can you….??

Dutta hesitated for a moment but quickly collected himself….Ayi has chosen for me….for the first time that too…and since I am not committed to any girl why not? Dutta realized Kishore too had stopped his prayers….

Have you seen the girl, do you know who she is? Kalavati growled….

Yes I have lekin Ayi Sahib has seen and approved so what more do I need….

Areh Bhau, Ayi Sahib…I mean Kala darted a glance towards Kishore...leaning towards Dutta whispered...Ayi Sahib will not be sleeping with her you will....You understand what I mean.....

Dutta smiled, then leaned towards his sister whispered, in the darkness of the room, all women are same as long as she is a woman….standing back he winked at Kishore….

Kalavati blushed but then nodded her head…Bhau remember you have to present her as your wife in public…anyway aur mai kya bol sakti hu, as a sister it was my duty to warn you….

Dutta turned towards Kishore, so Kishore how is work…

Work is work Dutta the usual…see you at the breakfast table…I have to get ready, got a presentation….

Dutta waved see you… closing the door behind him…he liked Kishore, a nice gentleman, unlike many of this friends and relatives Kishore did not want to live out of Dutta, he stuck on to his Bank job, infact he even tried to live separately but with his income the house he could afford in Mumbai was not as per liking of Kalavati who returned to this house after a couple of months…she was pregnant that time and Kishore had no other option…seeing his elder sister and his brother-in-law he often felt if it was not for their daughter, they would have got a divorce by now….taking out his T shirt he wiped the sweat of his body with it as he threw it on the bathroom floor he noticed his white T shirt had got some black marks on it…as he switched on the shower he noticed his finger of his left hand too but very faint, must have come from his fingers to the T shirt…kaha se aya..he wondered as the cold water washed his body, his wound burnt…reminding him that he is yet to settle his scores with his attacker…ha he is waiting for all the guests in the house to leave…let the things settle down….let the attacker put down his guard….

Kalavati walked up and down in the room, like a tigress on the prowl….her sisters waited for her to speak…..

Bhau bhi na….I sometimes fail to understand what he is made off…normally he growls like a lion, does whatever he thinks right but when Ayi Sahib says anything, kuch bhi bole, woh bhigi billi ban jate hai….

I think we are reacting very fast, I heard the girl is not willing Roop added

Tera dimag kharab hai kya…haven't you seen the girl…how can she refuse our brother….Roop at times use your head my dear….

Dutta took out his clothes, before taking off the towel off his waist he went to pull the curtain when his eyes fell in the garden the girl called Nakusha was sitting, it seemed she was crying, with her head down, rubbing her eyes…Bhau have you taken your bath…come let me do your dressing, Bajirao came to stand next to him…..he too saw what Dutta was seeing….

Hmm, Dutta pulled the curtain to go and sit on the settee, Bajirao opened his bandage and threw it in the bin…..taking out fresh cotton he put it on his wound watching his friend carefully, Bhau, Bhau I heard something…..he spoke

Hmmm…Dutta replied….

Bhau I think I know why you have agreed…lekin mai ek baath bolu Bhau…it is not compulsory…please do not misunderstand me Bhau but I think this is your marriage and here you should have a say….you know what I mean……Bajirao sounded desperate….

Tera ho giya toh gadi nikal let me get dressed, the commissioner had called me, we have to explain the firing …case ko ageh nehi barne dene ka hai…..chal nipta ke ateh hai….

Bajirao shook his head as he walked out of the bedroom…..inspite of being a friend and confident he know there was a place in Dutta heart where nobody could touch, where no logic was justified….

But Nakku is crying is she crying because she doesnt want to marry or for some other reason?

he will remember later on maybe how he got the balck marks on his T shirt! it is nice to see that Dutta is unaffected by nakku's colour hjere too.. even though he hardly knows her..he is trusting AS's decision ..waiting for next part!
