Love Unexpected- Chapter-34

It was late at night; Arohi was in the kitchen busy preparing all of Sands' favorite junk food to eat. She had made butter popcorn, had gotten chocolate ice-cream, and whipped cream, smarties, M&M's, gummi bears and chocolates. She claps both of her hands together and with triaumphant smile gathered everthing on the trolley. She made her way to the living room where Sands' was flipping through a cosmo magazine. Sands' looked up from the magazine and saw her standing before her with delicious treats and all her favourite too.

"Arohi di, what is all this?" She surprisingly asked with a raised eyebrow.

Arohi vastly smiles picks up the bowl of all candies sits beside her answers "You can call it a slumber party between the sisters. I mean it has been ages since we have had one." As she says that, popped some candy into her mouth and offered the bowl to Sands'. Still looking at her sister questionably, grabbed a handful of candy in her hand and pops them into her mouth. She closes her eyes and savors the candies in her mouth. "When you make all of my favourite junk food, I know one thing and that is you either want something or want to know something." She grabbed the tub of ice-cream with the spoon and opened the container. "So, which is it?" She asks as she puts a spoonful of the ice-cream in her mouth.

Arohi was astonished at what her sister was asking gave her an unbelievable look. "Can't a sister just want to do something nice for her baby sister?" She looks at Sands' who had started to mix popcorn and candies in her ice-cream. "No, I know you my sweet sister and you always have an agenda up your sleeve." She told her with mouthful of ice-cream. Arohi smiled cheekily, grabs the spoon from her hand; scoops some ice-cream on it and puts in her mouth. "Ok fine, I do have something that I want ask." Arohi tells her as she proceeded to scoop the ice-cream again. "How did you and Baaji fall in love?" She asks with straight face.

"It started about 3 months ago, after both you and Naku were home."

Flashback 1 of Basa LS

Sands' was sitting alone in the garden at the Patil house, busy texting her friends and letting them know that all is well. Baaji was walking out, when he saw her sitting on the bench. Her long tresses, which were left open, started to to fly away as the wind picked up. He was mesmerized by her beauty, although she had cuts and bruises on her face, her right wrist had a plaster on it, but to him she had never looked so beautiful. She looks towards the door and sees Baaji standing with both of his arms folded in front of his chest. She stares at him and smiles at him. "Baaji, Baaji." She calls out his name, but he was lost in his own thoughts that he did not hear his name being called. "Baaji!" She screams his name out really loud, which broke him out of his day dream.

"Kya re, mera naam itna zor se chilla kyu rahi hai?" He questioned her and walks towards where she was sitting. Sands' gave him a glare and answers "I was not trying to be loud, but when someone calls out your name you answer."

Baaji scratches the back of his head and says "I really didn't hear you calling my name." He sits down beside her and asks "How are your injuries? Are you still in pain?" He points towards the plastered wrist. Sands' raises her plastered arm up and smiles at him. "No, not in that much pain, but sometimes it itches like hell."

Baaji nods his head and says "You must be happy that Arohi and Naku are home safe. Sands'' with a big smile responds "Oh so glad that both are safe and sound to where they belong."

Baaji looks at her and asks "You must be happy that your father is here too." Sands' looks at him with a weird face and answers "Yeah right! I mean I am glad that he is here, but he is a Hitler." Baaji starts to laugh out really loud at her response and shakes his head.

"You have changed." He told her with a smirk. Sands' gives him a questionable look and asks "Changed how so?"

"Mera matlab hai ke, jab hum pehli baar mile te toh tu bahut..umm..kya kahte hai." Baaji scratches his chin to think of the word. "Ha....Hot headed thi." Sands' gets angry at him and punches him hard on his upper arm. "You did not just call me hot headed!" Baaji rubs his arm where she punched him and says "Man you may look small, but you sure as hell punch hard."

Sands' gives him another glare and says "I am not small, you maniac!"

End of Flashback Scene 1

Present Scene 1

"Wait, wait, wait hold up. He did not call you small." Arohi asks her with big eyes. "I mean people who have had the audacity to call you small, have gotten the crap beat out of them."

Sands' smiles at her sister's comment "Aww thank you sis."

Arohi nods her head and says "welcome, but do continue." She stuffs her mouth with popcorn and gestures with her hand for Sands' to continue.

End Present Scene 1

Back to Flashback Scene 2

"I will have you know, that people have regretted calling me small." She told him fiercely. Baaji raises his hands in truce and says "Achaa baba maaf kardo abhi." Sands' smiles at him and gives him a friendly punch on the arm. "Chaal mein jaata hoon, kuch kaam hai baad mein milta hoon." He got up and started to leave. Sands' pursed her lips together and wondered is she should ask or not "Baaji, would you like to have coffee with me tonight?" She asked him shyly and waited for his answer.

Baaji looked at her and with a smile replys "kaha? Aur kitne baaje?" Sands' excitedly got up and said "Mini-cafe around 8." He nodded and said his goodbye as did Sands'.

Flashback end scene 2

Present Scene 2

Arohi quirks her eyebrows and says "Wow, way to go girl! You made the first move." Sands' nods her head and laughs "Well if you leave it up to Bhaaji, he will wait till I am old and grey to make his move." They both start to laugh in unison at the thought of Baaji.

"You are absolutely right Sands'. I mean Baaji would have definitely taken his time." Arohi tells her with a grin. "So, what happend at the date?"

Flashback 3

It had been almost one hour, yet there was no sign of him. Sands' starts to get worried and decides to give him a call on his phone. The phone kept on coming to unreachable; she started to get weird thoughts and scenarios in her head. What if he was hurt or in an accident? She started to get even more worried, but as she was about to call him she saw him walk into the cafe.

She was relieved after she saw him and let out a big sigh. "Sorry, sorry, sorry yaar. Mein kuch kaam mein faaz gaya tha or mera mobile ki battery low thi toh woh bhi off hogaya." He told her as he sat down at the table in front of her. Sands' glaring at him "You know this was our first date, you come late and don't even call or txt." She said angrily at him. "I mean I was having so many weird bad thoughts and scenarios play in my head. I thought something bad happen to you." She gave a sincere look at him and a gloomy stare. Baaji takes both of her hands that were on the table in his and says "Kaha na sorry, agli baar late nahin hoga." Sands' smiles at him and they both ordered coffee and started to chit-chat. They talked about their childhood days, to their whole life. What each liked or disliked and the date went for almost 2 hours.

End of Flashback.

Present

"So, here we are we have been seeing each other for 3 months." She tells Arohi with a smile on her face."Di I really love him. I am completetly in love with him." She gives another smile.

Arohi hugs her sister and says "I am so happy for you." She starts to get teary eyes and breaks the hug.

"Di I have never felt about anyone this way and the way I feel about him." She closes her eyes to think of the word. "This feeling is different." Sands' tells her sister and wipes her sister tears off.

"This is love honey. When we meet the right person, everything feels right." Arohi tells her with a smile. "Oh I am so happy for you Sands'. I can't believe my baby sister is in love wow!" She hugs her again tightly.

"Di, you are cutting of my circulation I can't breath uff." Sands' tells her. Arohi let's go of her and then gets a serious face all of a sudden. "What is di, why the face?" Sands' asks her all worried.

"I have to tell you something." Arohi looks at her sister and before Arohi could even tell her Sands' interjects and says "I know di. Dutta bhau has started this game of getting Baaji married to some other girl."

"So you know." Arohi asks."Yes Baaji told me everything, but I told him to tell Dutta bhau everything." She gets all aggravated and makes a grumpy face. "He wants to play along in this game. He says that he is after all his brother and wants to see how far this game Dutta Bhau will take." She tells her frustratedly. "I mean I told him that while playing this stupid game he better not end up losing me."

Arohi nods her in agreement and then proceeds to tell her the plan that their father and Dutta have conjured up. Sands' ends up smiling and grins widely at the plan. "Brilliant plan sis, I am sure this will definetly make him sweat a bit." Both of the sisters' end up laughing and end up finishing the remainder of the junk food.

Back at Patil house, Dutta and Naku were walking back inside the house with their hands entwined together. Dutta had a smile on his face, he was estatic that he is going to be a father and Naku was smiling at his happiness. "Saab please don't tell anyone yet about the baby. I mean first we want to be sure." She told him lovingly.

Dutta with a confused look asks "Paar kyu Naku? Yeh toh achi baat hai aur ise sunke sabh bahut khush hoge." Naku takes a deep breath and faces him, she cups his face and says "Mein jaanti hain Saab, but I want to be sure that I am pregnant, I mean I don't want to get the family's hope up and then it turns out it was false alarm." Dutta smiles and kisses the palm of her hand "Even if you are not Naku, we can start the family planning." He teases her with naughtiness in his eyes. Naku blushes and shyly says "Saab aap bhi na."

Baaji enters and calls out "Bhau." Dutta turns around upon hearing his name and nods for him to go on and speak. "We know where Anna is hiding. If want to do anything we have to move fast." Baaji tells him in urgency.

"Theek hai, tu ja aur saare hamare aadmi ko instructions de. Aur haan gaadi nikaal." He orders Baaji in an authoritative way, which Naku knew meant one thing that today will be Anna's last night to breathe. Baaji nods his head in agreement and starts to walk out, but stops as he hears Dutta calling him. "Aur sun Arjun koh bhi phone kar dena." Dutta tells him with a straight face. "Arjun is already here. I called him as soon as I have found." Baaji tells him and proceeds to walk out to get the arrangements ready.

Dutta turns and faces Naku, he kisses her forehead and without saying anything goes up to his room to grab his guns. Naku watches his receding backside; and prays deep down inside her heart to keep him and Baaji safe from harm. She walks to up to the idol and prays "Bappa please bring him back to me safely." She places her hand on her stomach and closes her eyes again.
