Dutta Selfish When Concerned With Naku?

Hey Guys😉

Aisha I am one of the people who are saying that Datta is a little self absorbed when it comes to Naku. I mean he has looked after her and her family's needs like a job, shelter and protection. That way he's been really sweet. But then thats something he might have done for any poor and helpless family harassed by the police.
But then his relationship with Naku has moved to something deeper than some random girl who he saved and she saved him so he's grateful to her and helps her out. when they had their first pain convo he was surprised that someone who hardly knew him understood his anger. but that was the last time he asked her questions he wanted to answers to...like did she really know what's pain?
but after that he's been doing the talking and she listening. even when she talks its abt him. isnt it time that he tries to dig a little deeper abt this girl whom he can so easily open to? i mean least he can do is take some personal interest in her. he asked her only personal question so far ie did she ever love anyone. but it was more out of irritation rather than actual interest. but today if someone questions datta what does he really KNOW abt her he wudnt be able to say much except maybe she is honest and gutsy.
but then I cannot blame datta alone for this status in their relationship. naku's more responsible than him. she's encouraged him to talk but avoided any prying questions directed at herself. datta's too much of a gentleman to probe further. naku's primarily avoided any attention on herself first to keep the secret of her looks and past as well as to hide her feelings for him.
But I think people are little pissed off with datta for being self absorbed as now he's talking abt his feelings for sups with naku. i mean it was fine he spoke of his own problems. but listening abt sups wud be heartbreaking for naku. and i suppose none of us want to see her heartbroken.
As for datta needing an extra push...oh ur sooooooo right. even when he's head over heels in love with naku he'd a push to first realize it and then say it. thats why i think naku getting wounded wud give that extra push.
But yeah once totally in love his love wud be all consuming like Naku's and he'll make up for all the heartbreaks he's caused. and boy this man does know how to make up.

I totally think he wants someone who would accept him as is..With Seema and with Sups, he feels they do not love him and he lacks first money (with Seema) and his profession (with Sups). We that is obvious to everyone.

And what is subtle about Dutta characterization is how he reacts to the above. That explains how he interacts with Nakku..After the mangalsutra scene, he was waiting to vent and opens up even though Nakku is not initiating the conversation and in fact wanted to leave the room. then when he is done, the very casual, 'ab tum ja sakthi ho, muje bahut kam hai'...i've watched that particular scene a few times, and it almost feels like he does not see the pain or love in her eyes. he is comfortable opening up to her and that is it...

I agree with you that his first experience has made him like this and he even says that to Nakku (on the dry day episode). He says how easy it is for her to trust everybody.

I'm not blaming him for the way he is, i'm just saying that he is self absorbed now and he is using Nakku, and it just hurts for Nakku fans who knows what goes through her mind...she says she understands everything he says and falls in love with him even more after every one of those sessions.

Hopefully he will make it up for all the hearbreaks soon

Okay I just wanted to discuss this point a little.

I've been reading around here that Dutta is selfish when it comes to Naku.

He unburdens his problems onto her, he uses her as his comfort zone, he always expects to hear some kind of advice from her which will let him open up to her, he knows that he affects her in some way (he knew when he held her shoulder she was affected) and yet he doesn't think about her.

So he's being selfish right?

Well... I don't think he is.

I mean the way I see it is, the first time he fell in Love (with that bloody Seema) he fell hard. He fell so hard that his reaction to that betrayal was so intense he ended up becoming Dutta Bhao.

So obviously he's wary about Love now. In fact he doesn't trust it at all.

And he thinks his heart is dead. So he doesn't believe that he can fall in Love again.

So now he has Supriya (God help him. And us.) who is his Fiancee and who he kinda liked but has now turned him off her when she showed her disgust towards him. But now after that Wrist-Cutting Fiasco he seems to be thinking "Maybe she's genuine. Maybe I should give her a chance."

And then there's Naku. Adorable Naku who is ALWAYS there if he needs her whether its to save him from a bullet or himself. Naku who listens to him and who tells him the Right and Wrongs, Naku who isn't scared of or disgusted by him. So he's found himself opening up to her and talking to her about things he hasn't spoken of to anyone else. He feels comfortable around her and yet he isn't thinking more deeply about it.

Well. Why should he?

See Dutta doesn't believe in Love anymore. He's been there done that got the scars to prove it and he doesn't want a second round of that mess. Supriya is his future Life partner (thats what he thinks) so he has to look at her like that. He doesn't see Love between them yet but he promised her he would try to make their relationship successful. So hes promised to be Faithful to her and now when she's saying to him she wants to share his life he's finally feels accepted.

Yes Naku accepts him BUT Naku is not Supriya (Thank God) He does not look at Naku the way he looks at Supriya (ie Future Wife) He sees Naku as a softer more sensitive version of BAJI. And Baji is his best friend!

I mean people can have deep connectiosn with other people without Love being involved. He sees Naku as a Survivor and he relates to her because of that, because he himself is a Survivor.

THATS why he hasnt thought more about the Whys and Hows of Naku.

She understands him and she isnt asking anything of him. THATS why he hasnt pried deeper.

So Dutta isnt being selfish. Hes just being a Man.

I donot understand one thing, bhao always says that he can judge a person by looking into the eyes then how come he cannot read the eyes of Naku and Sups......bhao jo kisi pe vishwas nahin karte woh kaise Sups ke upar bharosa kiya, itni asani se woh Sups ke apmaan ko bhool gaya (remember the chair episode), agar haath katne se koi kisiko apna sakta hain toh sabse zyada Naku deserve karti hain bhao ka pyaar.......last of all bhao bhi surat hi dekha par uske peeche bhavnao ko nahi...............guys u all are same💔

Yes that is a big let down for all us Dutta fans. i won't go to the extent of saying 'Bhao surat dektha hai'. His marriage to Sups was decided before Nakku entered the scene. So he may feel obligated to get married to her. But I agree with you, he should have paid more attention what he sees in Nakku's eyes, know about her more and also not fall for Sups drama so easily 😭😭😭😭😭

Ya u r so rite..but may b supriya's days r numbered, n yes it is surprising that he never doubts supriya. Mayb 4 him Nakku is just a fren to share thoughts with. hope he connects to her soon n feels 4 her too😊
